Flower

Welcome to the walkthrough of Flower!

Since this is such a relaxing game, odds are you're on this page because you can't find all the secret flowers. If so, continue on to the story walkthrough, where they're all mentioned!

We've separated the trophies into two pages: level-specific and secret flower trophies to be found together on the Story walkthrough page, and the other trophies (that don't require a specific level) to be found on the Miscellaneous trophies page.

Flower really is something else in terms of gaming. It's almost like a digital stress ball. As such, if you haven't finished it yet, I would advise you to just play it on your own before coming back to this walkthrough. Relaxing first, trophies later. Enjoy the game, and we hope this walkthrough will help you with getting any trophies you initially missed!

With Flower, you'll mostly have to use the motion controls inside your Dualshock 4/Vita.

To choose a level, tilt the controller until the desired flower is highlighted and hold any button to start.

Once in a level, you're a flower petal on a breeze, and going by other flowers collects more petals. Holding a button activates the breeze (cn_X and cn_R2 are popular choices), and your motion controls guide the direction of the wind.

I personally found that on the PS4, the controls were much easier and more intuitive than on the Vita, which got me frustrated on a few occasions.

One of the best tips that I can give you is that no trophy in this game is missable, and any level can be revisited at any time. So play the game and let it relax you smile

There are six levels in this game. Some levels have a specific trophy to be obtained within them and all levels have three secret flowers to be obtained.

Getting your first secret flower will net you the "Discovery" trophy, getting all in one level will net you the "Beginning" trophy, getting all in the game will net you the "Dream" trophy.

On the game's hub page, you can see all the levels you have unlocked (visualised by six different flowers). In the pot of every flower lie up to three small green petals; it's tracking which secret flowers you have obtained in the level - left is the first one, middle the second and right the last.

During these level walkthroughs, the blooming of flowers I don't talk about is optional. It will help you towards the "Nature" trophy though.

Level 1 - yellow flower

The first level, exciting! As with all levels, you start on one flower. Hold any button to start a breeze.

In the background you'll notice some flowers with a red circle glow around them, those flowers should be followed to the next field. You'll come to a group of red flowers on top of a hill in a dry patch of grass, go by the flowers to heal them and see the next part of the level.

There's a bunch of rocks in a dry patch of grass, connected to five other dry patches with red flowers in them. Go by all the red flowers in all the dry patches, until every patch is green. Four patches have yellow flowers you have to touch before the red flowers are shown. The centre patch will now get some yellow flowers, and if you touch those there will be red flowers. touch them all to get the way to the next part of the level.

Follow the green grass to the last part of the level. It's a big tree, touch the yellow flowers on your way to get red flowers around the tree. Touch all red flowers. A whirlwind of pink flower petals will appear in front of the tree. Go into it to end the level.

Secret flower 1: In the area where you start are many small white flowers. Touch them all to sprout the secret flower.

Secret flower 2: In the second area (with the rock in the middle and all the brown patches), behind the brown patches are again small white flowers. Touch them all to sprout the secret flower.

Secret flower 3: In the third area (with the tree), from where you enter behind rock behind the tree.

Level 2 - red flower

Follow the trail of red flowers. Once you bloom some yellow flowers on your way, small white flowers will sprout to direct you upwards. Follow them to a patch of red flowers in between some rocks, touch all the red flowers. Now go back down again, keep blooming yellow and red flowers along your path. There's a second group of rocks on top of a hill with red flowers in between them, touch those red flowers. Now go to the red flowers that just sprouted, bloom them to open the way forward.

After the rock opening, bloom red and yellow flowers in the next area until the wind at the end reverses and you can go on forward.

In the last area, there are some blue flowers. Bloom them to be directed towards some yellow flowers, then pink flowers and then the level ending whirlwind will show up. Before you end the level:

Level specific trophy:

Here in the last area, the rocks that you opened with the blue, yellow and pink flowers will have blue, yellow and pink whirlwinds in them (different from the big pink petal whirlwind in the center). Touch any to be able to paint the grass in said color. Do this for all three to get a trophy.

  • Palette

Use the grass as your canvas and paint the ground with three different colors.

    Palette

Secret flower 1: When you're doing the first bit of the level, blooming red and yellow flowers, if you bloom them all the secret flower will sprout on top of a hill and the camera will direct you towards it.

Secret flower 2: In the second area, after you opened the rock wall, keep on going until you are blooming yellow flowers. One lonely set of yellow flowers will appear, blooming this will lead you to some red flowers and at the end, the secret flowers.

Secret flower 3: In the third area, looking from the center towards the blue rock formation, slightly to the right and on the hill is the patch of secret flowers.

Level 3 - pink flower

In the first area in the center is a big windmill. In the field are some smaller windmills - a group of one, a group of two and a group of three windmills. All three groups have a group of blue flowers, which must be bloomed to activate the group of windmills. Activate all to sprout blue flowers around the big windmill, bloom those to activate the big windmill and be able to continue to the next area.

Level specific trophy:

With any active windmill in this level, ride the wind seven times for a trophy.

  • Wind

Play with the windmills and ride the wind seven times.

Level specific trophy:

During the canyon sequence, at one point you'll come by some yellow flowers on an arch. Directly behind it is the entrance to a cave, which will lead to a second cave and back to the starting area. Keep to the right in the second cave for a reference to flOw and a trophy.

Following the canyon to its natural end will put you in the final area of the level. There are sets of windmills, the first set has blue flowers in front of it. Bloom the blue flowers to start the first set of windmills and sprout more blue flowers. Bloom enough of the new blue flowers to start the second set of windmills and sprout a set of blue and pink flowers, and activate the well-known whirlwind to end the game.

Secret flower 1: Bloom all the flowers in the first field to sprout the first set of secret flowers.

Secret flower 2: Before the second cave (with the flOw wall paintings), on the ground.

Secret flower 3: Directly after you exit the canyon, turn around. The secret flowers are to the right in a small patch at the wall of the canyon.

level 4 - blue flower

Bloom the blue flowers to start the windmills and the lights. Bloom the flowers that appeared under the light.

Level specific trophy:

After touching flowers under light, you'll light up yourself. Once the cutscene ends, go to the pond and hover over it, close to the water. This can be done at several points in the game and this also has to be done to get the third secret flower.

The cutscene shows you illuminating the first field of flowers. Do the second field yourself. Bloom the newly sprouted flowers under the new light. Illuminate the haystacks.

You know the drill, bloom the flowers under the third light, then bloom all the pink flowers, illuminating the field in the process.

Bloom the flowers under the fourth light and illuminate the field around it. Follow the lights for a while to get to the level ending whirlwind.

Secret flower 1: Near the haystacks is a road going away from the level area, one part of the road ends in a cilinder of hay. The secret flowers are behind it.

Secret flower 2: When illuminating the field after the haystacks, you'll see a broken down cart. Illuminate the area around it and the secret flowers appear next to it.

Secret flower 3: Close by the previous flower and the spiraled field is a pond (to the directon away from the haystacks). Go over it while illuminated to sprout the secret flower just next to the pond.

Level 5 - purple flower

Level specific trophy:

You need to complete this level without getting hurt for a trophy. Slow is the way to go. Only come near the towers where you HAVE to bloom flowers to be able to proceed until you get to the canyon. In the canyon, my advice would be go high up and take it slow so you can see in advance where the metal will fall.

Follow the path to a blocked way, which has a pipeline leading to an electricity tower. Bloom the purple flowers underneath the tower to be able to pass through the barred exit of this area.

The exit to the second area has three pipelines leading to it, all from a tower with purple flowers. Bloom the flowers of all three towers to be able to go to the next area.

Travel through the canyon to see the end of level whirlwind. The screen will go dark before you get there though.

Secret flower 1: Turn left from where you start, the secret flower is in a small canyon.

Secret flower 2: In the second area, there's a tower unconnected to pipelines with a batch of flowers right underneath it (there's also a tower unconnected, with a few loose flowers underneath it, this is not the right tower). Bloom the flowers and move away, the tower will collapse and the secret flowers will sprout.

Secret flower 3: At the start of the canyon, keep taking right turns until you get to the secret flower.

Level 6 - light pink flower

Level specific trophy:

You have to bloom every flower, destroy all metal, build all buildings and activate all the playground equipment to get a trophy. Note that you have to take a few different exits on the highway to get to all the flowers.

Go into the level ending whirlwind that we didn't get to at the end of the last level. You're back at one flower. Start a breeze, and bloom yellow flowers until the gate to the next area opens. The rest of the level is pretty straightforward if you don't have to go for the "Urban" trophy anymore.

Destroy metal by touching it. You can simply go to the metal barring you from the next area and punch through it.

Go to the other end of the following area to enter the highway. Taking left on the first real intersection (second left overall, first left is not an exit ramp but an entry ramp) will take you to the end of the highway.

Follow the path between the buildingst to a dark tower. Go inside the tower and up, up, up and away to end the level!

Secret flower 1: As you enter the second area inside the city (third area overall), you can spot a doorway into a tower. Go inside the tower and up for the secret flower.

Secret flower 2: On the highway, where the left exit goes to the end and the middle keeps you going around on the highway, take the right and go in between the pillars to find the secret flower.

Secret flower 3: After the highway section is done, while you are going in between buildings, you can spot two different fans. Behind one of the fans is the sectret flower.

Credits - picture frame

The credits play out as a "level". Be sure to touch all the flowers so you can get another trophy.

Being a laid-back relaxing-game, Flower has quite a few trophies that can be obtained without having to play a specific level (or sometimes without even playing at all). This page is for those trophies.

After you play any level, you'll go back to the level-select screen. Leave the game on for ten minutes without doing anything and this trophy is yours.

Once you have started playing any level, put the controller down. After a few minutes, the game will go into screensaver mode. After three minutes of screensaver, this trophy will pop.

Note that this is the only trophy different for the Vita version: The Vita version has a trophy with the same name but rather than three minutes of screensaver in one level, it's one minute of screensaver in each level. I'd advise letting the screensaver run in each level for more than a minute just to be sure, if you did just a minute in each level and the trophy didn't pop (because you were just too quick in one level), you wouldn't know which one and you'd have to start them all over again.

Simply stop playing the game for a week and then load it up again. Yeah, you could go offline and change the date on your console, but what's the rush? Everything about this game screams "just take things slowly, dude". Also, it's the easiest trophy to just quickly obtain if you have a streak you want to continue on.

Most likely the last trophy you will obtain. You need to bloom 10,000 flowers total. My advice would be to just play the game, work on all other trophies and only start grinding on this one once it's the last trophy you need to get. I kept replaying the final level since there are so many flowers in it.

If you got all these trophies and you already followed the story walkthrough and secret flower guide, then congratulations, you just 100%ed the game! We hope that you enjoyed the game and that this walkthrough was of use to you.
