Race with Ryan

Welcome to the walkthrough for Race with Ryan. This unfortunate game was birthed by a YouTube channel involving parents putting their kid in front of toys every day for a ridiculous amount of views. Can a kid consent to his parents filming massive portions of his childhood? Will his life be eternally ruined by having been spoiled beyond comprehension? Why did you buy this game? All your questions will not be answered in the three-ish hours it takes to complete this game.

If you've taken a look at the trophy list, you should see that we have a platinum trophy up for grabs as well as 23 other trophies that require puny amounts of effort. If you are over the age of like, 10, you shouldn't have any issues completing this game. You do need to win one race in split-screen mode and that requires two controllers, so try to prepare for that.

This is a very easy game. You probably want to turn off vibration in the main menu's settings submenu and you have two additional options when paused during a race. Those two options are primarily for younger players and provide auto-acceleration and steer correction. Those of you who are able to drive a real car may still want to look into the auto-acceleration feature so you don't have to hold down cn_X the entire time. This feature might glitch out, however, and you'll have to turn it off and manually cn_O back your vehicle up to continue the race. The steer correction should generally be avoided if you're not a child, as you should be focusing on grinding for a long time anyway.

Split-Screen

Let's get started with the split-screen victory. When you're at the main menu, go to Split Screen and then select Fast Race. Choose any track and select Easy. We will need to cn_R2 drift for long amounts of time throughout the game, so this is a good time to get some time in. Drifting will also give you speed boosts after releasing cn_R2. Use cn_X to accelerate and cn_L2 to use items. It should be no problem to win this race.

If you are racing alone, just finish the race with your primary controller and then quit after your trophies pop.

That's it! Put your second controller away.

Career Mode

To simplify things as easily as possible, you're basically going to do the same type of gameplay for the rest of your time. You really don't need any more knowledge on how to play the game; just make sure you drift often, even though the game is easy. One trophy asks you to drift for 30 minutes of total time. The trophies for career mode are extensive, so they've been condensed into spoiler tags to make this page more readable.

Basically, start off with the Pizza Cup and choose Easy difficulty. Simply drift as much as possible and do this for all races from now on. Continue with the other cups except the Hot Dog Cup on Easy to earn the six trophies for this difficulty. Clearing the Hot Dog Cup on Easy is not required. Please look further below for instructions that account for if you're playing in cup order (Pizza Cup E-M-H first, then Toys Master, etc.).

On Medium difficulty, do not play the Toys Master Cup. There is no trophy for it on this difficulty.

On Hard difficulty, do not play the Toys Master Cup or the Hot Dog Cup. These are not required either.

If you're going from cup to cup, do Pizza Cup in all three difficulties, then play the Toys Master Cup only on Easy. Play Formula Fruit and Hook Prize on all three difficulties. Only play the Hot Dog Cup on Medium, then finish with the Royal Race Cup on all three difficulties.

Cumulative Trophies

All of the below trophies will be earned over time as you win each of the above career cups. You'll certainly have won at least 10 races by the end of all this.
