Hi there fellow trophy hunters and welcome to the TrueTrophies walkthrough for Life is Strange 2.

Life is Strange 2 is an episodic story-heavy adventure game that is best experienced without a guide. The decisions you make throughout the game will have consequences that will shape your game and the way people around you react to you.

The Life is Strange 2 trophies are tied to collectables as well as completing each episode. This walkthrough will be spoiler-free with general story pointers and will only go into details for the locations of collectables. In each area there will be lots of people and objects you can interact with; interesting points of notice will be detailed within a spoiler box, so you can avoid reading them if you want to discover everything Life is Strange 2 has to offer on your own.

Life is Strange 2 has a total of 47 trophies to earn across the five episodes. Each episode should take you approximately 2-3 hours each to complete, and no trophies are missable as you can replay a previously completed chapter at any time through the dedicated collectables mode accessible from the main menu (detailed in the ‘Hints and Tips’ section of this walkthrough). The walkthrough has a separate page for each episode of the game.

CONTROLS

The controls for Life is Strange 2 are very simple and are as follows:

cn_LS – Move

cn_RS – Move camera

cn_R2 – Run/walk faster

cn_RSc – Refocus the camera

cn_LSc – switch camera shoulder

cn_X – interact

cn_O – Interaction with Daniel

cn_T – Observe and commentate on an object or person

cn_R1 – Skip dialogue (when replaying a chapter)

cn_start – pause the game

Dualshock pad – Open backpack (you will see your current objectives listed on the left)

cn_R1 / cn_L1 – When in the backpack menu, cycle through to phone, journal, and souvenirs.

COLLECTABLES

Collectables in Life is Strange 2 take the form of souvenirs that you will find throughout the world. You can check out any collectables you have previously collected, equip them to decorate your bag and get some hints for the locations of missed collectables within the souvenirs tab of the backpack by looking at the outline and background of the collectable.

REPLAYING AN EPISODE

You can replay a previously completed episode by selecting ‘Play Episode’ from the main menu. Select the episode you want to play and you will be taken to a menu listing the different chapters for the episode. Here you will be able to see the numbers of collectables for each chapter and how many of them you have managed to collect.

If you want to pick up the collectables in a chapter but don’t want to change the decisions and interactions you have already made, select collectable mode by hitting cn_T and ‘enjoy a road trip free of consequences!

If you want to replay a chapter and change the decisions and choices you made, you can restart the game from the chapter by pressing cn_X. You can choose a different save slot to keep your initial game save.

DECISIONS

There are two types of decisions within Life is Strange 2; minor and major. Minor decisions may occur when you choose a certain line of dialogue in a conversation or interact with an object within the world. Making these decisions will affect your story further down the line, and the consequences of these actions may not be immediately obvious. You will know you have made a minor decision when you see the small dog running with a larger dog animation after an interaction.

It will be obvious when you are about to make a major decision; the game will pause and the different choices you can make will be split across the screen. These decisions are not timed; you will have as long as you need to really think your decision over before selecting an option.

THE STORY

There will be lots of objects and people to interact with in the world, so observe everything with cn_T and discuss things with Daniel with cn_O. Don’t forget to pop back and check Sean’s journal and phone every now and again, as you will find more interesting texts and diary entries have appeared.

Now it's time to begin the game. And remember, your actions will have consequences…

Episode 1: Roads

It should take you approximately 2-3 hours to play through this episode and there are six collectables to find. Three collectables are found within one chapter and the rest are spread out throughout the rest of the chapters, with some chapters not having any collectables. The collectables take the form of objects you can use to decorate your backpack.

Maka91Productions has made a good video walkthrough of this chapter which only includes collectable locations, without spoiling any of the story:

To begin the episode, select a save slot from the main menu and you will be presented with the question ‘have you played Life is Strange Season 1?’, selecting either ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ will make no difference in terms of following this walkthrough, but if you select ‘Yes’ you will be asked about the decision you made at the end of the game. So obviously, don’t select ‘Yes’ if you haven’t actually played Season 1 and don’t want the ending spoiled for you. After answering the question, select ‘New Game’ from the menu.

CHAPTER 1 - 1452 LAME AVENUE, SEATTLE

There are no collectables within this chapter.

After the cutscene and your conversation with Lyla, you will gain control of Sean and go inside your house. There are four items you will need to collect from your house before heading out; something to drink, snacks, a blanket and money from your dad. There is also one trophy you can get while you’re here.

While wandering around your house, interact with all of the objects you see and Sean will provide some commentary. Go to the kitchen and open the fridge to find something to drink. Open the cupboard next to it to choose a snack. Go down the narrow staircase opposite the front door to find a blanket in the laundry room and go next door to find your dad in the garage. He will ask you to help him out, after which you can ask him for money. After collecting all of the items, interact with your backpack to pack them up.

Now go to your bedroom and sit on the beanbag to ‘sit and draw’. Hold cn_X to observe your bedroom, then move the left stick (cn_LS) to draw an outline of your room. Repeat this again to add more detail to the drawing. Stand up to receive:

Go to your laptop and call Lyla (cn_O). You can interact with objects around you on the desk while talking to Lyla. After the conversation, you will watch a cutscene and chapter one will come to a close.

CHAPTER 2 - INTO THE WOODS

There is one collectable within this chapter.

Once you gain control of Sean you will find yourself on the edge of a road. Make your way through the woods by following the trail. You can run through most of it at this point if you want, but there are lots of interesting things to observe along the way if you want to get the most out of the story. This chapter also introduces the ‘discuss’ option; press cn_O to discuss an object or person with Daniel.

Climb over the fallen tree and continue onward to come to a ledge. Jump down from the ledge and then help Daniel climb down. Continue down the trail to come to an open area by the lake. After asking Daniel to help you set up camp, collect some logs and add them to the fire (cn_X). Sit down with Daniel on the rock.

After your conversation, Daniel will go down to the lake and you can now follow him down and pick up your first collectable. If you missed the drawing trophy during chapter one, this is another opportunity to do a drawing by sitting on a rock down by the lake for:

CHAPTER 3 - BEAR STATION

After the cutscene, walk forward and down the edge of the road to come to a rest stop. There are two collectables to pick up inside and an additional one outside, as well as lots of objects to interact with here.

Collectable 2

Walk around the store and pick up any of the supplies you think you will need. Along the way there are some interesting things to interact with:

Before you leave the store, pick up a local map from next to the cashier. Exit the store through the front door and go sit at the empty table to eat and study the map. Talk to the man who approaches you and make a decision to end the scene.

You will find yourself back inside the store. After talking to the man he will leave the room. Push the cardboard tube (cn_X) into the computer to get some light and push the poster on the right of you. Talk to Daniel through the vent and then ask him to try and open the back door. You will have to get the keys for him. Interact with the pipe anchor in front of you and ask Daniel to go find a tool. Take the tool from him through the vent and hit cn_X repeatedly to pry it away from the wall. Slide along behind the sofa, reach for the keys and pick them up. Watch the cutscene and make a decision to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 4 - US-101

There are no collectables within this chapter. A walkthrough is not required for this chapter as you will ride along in the car and make conversation choices for the entirety of the chapter.

CHAPTER 5 - JEWEL OF THE PACIFIC COAST

There are no collectables within this chapter and as above; this chapter consists of conversation choices and cutscenes with no free roaming. Therefore, a walkthrough has not been included to ensure there are no story spoilers.

CHAPTER 6 - SAND CASTLE

There is one collectable within this chapter.

Once you gain control of Sean, look down and pick up the stick to play fetch. To find the collectable here, you must throw the stick around a certain spot to have the dog go and fetch it, which brings back the attached collectable. You have to throw the stick around the sign on the left as shown in the picture below:

Walk up the outside steps to find room #10. Following the cutscene and playing the game with Daniel, you can pick up the final collectable. Walk over to the closet by the balcony doors and open it:

After having a look around the room, go into the bathroom and 'open' the tap (cn_X). Return to Daniel and send him to the bath (cn_X). Depending on the choices you made earlier in this episode, you may also have the option to question him by looking at the item on the bedside table. While Daniel is in the bathroom, pick up your phone from the table under the TV and go out onto the balcony. Make a decision about your phone and you will sit down. When you are ready, press cn_O.

You will go back inside and Daniel will have finished his bath; either join him (cn_O) or talk directly (cn_X). He will ask you to get him a drink and Sean will walk outside the room. Turn right and walk along the corridor to find a drinks machine at the far end where you can buy a soda. Sean will run back to the room to find Daniel where you will make a couple of conversation choices and watch the final cutscene of this chapter.

CHAPTER 8 - LONG ROAD AHEAD

As with chapters four and five, this final chapter consists of conversation choices and cutscenes with no free roaming. Talk to Daniel to draw this episode to a close and reward you with:

You have now finished Episode 1 - Roads and will be presented with a screen showing all of the major choices you made throughout the chapter, as well as the choices your friends have made.

Episode 2 - Rules

This episode will take you approximately 2-3 hours to play through and there are six collectables to pick up across eleven chapters. To begin the episode, select continue from the main menu.

CHAPTER 1 - YOUNG APPRENTICE

There is one collectable within this chapter.

After the opening cutscene you will be introduced to a new game mechanic; you can ask Daniel to use his powers to interact with an object by holding cn_L2 when the large blue arrow is displayed and then pressing cn_O.

Do this with several of the rocks along the river edge (and on the far bank), mushroom the dog and the shooting range on the tree stump and ask Daniel to lift them. After practising with the shooting range, Sean will pick up a snowball to throw at/around Daniel. Throw the snowball twice with cn_R2 to end the practice session.

Before heading back to the cabin, you have to fill up the water canteens. Go to the wooden pontoon and ask for help (cn_O) to fill them. Daniel will come and help you. After filling the canteens, walk forward up the snowy hill to see a creepy two-headed snowman to the left of the cabin. Behind the snowman is a tree in which you will find your first collectable:

To get it, look at it once with cn_T and then ask Daniel to lift it out of the tree with cn_L2 and cn_O. After Daniel lifts it out of the tree, walk over to the box and inspect it with cn_X. Once you’ve picked up the sticker you’ll earn:

You can now head inside and continue the chapter, but there are a couple of things you can interact with outside before heading in:

Once you've finished outside, go in through the sliding door and into the cabin.

Now you’ll have to get a few things together to build a fire in the wood stove and make dinner. There are several things you can interact with at different points:

Firstly, go into the bedroom and search through Sean’s stuff to find a lighter. Take the lighter, go into the bathroom and add water to the container on the bath. Go to the wood stove in the living room and make a fire (cn_X). Grab some food from the top shelf in the kitchen and grab a clean pan from the bathtub. Go back to the food in the kitchen and prepare the meal (cn_X).

While that cooks, you can go outside to draw by interacting with the sliding door and earn another trophy. Once you’re sat down, hold cn_X to observe and then wiggle cn_LS to draw. Once you’ve finished your first round of drawing you can either continue the drawing or stand up, earning:

Go back inside and serve the meal on the stove. Watch the cutscene to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 2 - SHIP, CAPTAIN, CREW

There are no collectables within this chapter.

After the cutscene, you will still be in the cabin but it will be later in the evening. Go into the bedroom and search Sean’s stuff on the top of the chest of drawers. Sean will call out to Daniel and ask him where he put the map, after which Daniel will tell you it’s in his tent. Search ‘Daniel’s lair’ and move cn_X mushroom. He won’t move so you’ll have to ask for Daniel’s help with cn_S. Pick up the map on the right hand side and head back to Daniel.

Place the map on the table cn_X and after the cutscene it’s time to play a game with Daniel. The aim of the game is to get together a ship, captain and crew, and then to get as much treasure as you can. The person with the most treasure wins the game. You have to do this in three dice throws, in which you roll several dice at once. You need to roll a six for a ship, five for a captain and four for a crew. You can’t have a captain without a ship or a crew without a captain. When you’re ready to start, roll the dice with cn_S. After you’ve finished the game you can decide to play again or call it a night, and if you won you can decide what to draw on Daniel’s backpack.

CHAPTER 3 - RULE OR MIGHT

There are no collectables within this chapter.

When the chapter begins, you will have to gather your stuff together before leaving. Go into the bedroom and Sean will talk to Daniel. Go into the bathroom and refill the water canteens with cn_X from the container by the sink. Add the canteens to the bag on the table in the living room and head outside to look for Daniel. Turn to the right and follow the trail behind the snowman towards the fallen tree blocking the path. Crawl under the tree and walk forward to pick up the bandana. Watch the cutscene and make a decision to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 4 - THE ROAD TO BEAVER CREEK

There are no collectables within this chapter, which consists of cutscenes following the brother’s journey.

CHAPTER 5 - SANCTUARY

There are no collectables within this chapter.

After the cutscene, ring the doorbell in front of you. When you gain control of Sean you will be sat down in the kitchen. You can look around you and look at things around the room while your grandparents talk in the other room. When they return you will watch another cutscene and go through some dialogue choices. After a chat with Daniel upstairs, the scene will fade and the chapter will end.

CHAPTER 6 - THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE

There is one collectable within this chapter.

You’ll wake up in bed. After getting up, interact with the pile of clothes on the floor next to you to get dressed. Leave the bedroom and head downstairs to the kitchen. Sit down at the table to join Claire for breakfast. Go through a few dialogue choices whilst eating breakfast. After you’ve finished you can interact with a few more things around the house:

When you’ve finished looking around the house, go into the downstairs study to find Stephen. He will ask you to fetch him the glue from the cupboard behind him, after which he will want to discuss Daniel with him. Make a decision about whether to be honest with him or not. After your chat, Stephen will give you the key to the outside shed. Before leaving the office, you can discuss a few things around the room with Stephen.

After heading out the door, Claire will stop you and ask for your help around the house. After she leaves, you’ll have to track Daniel down before he’ll help you. Go into the bathroom and search behind the shower curtain. Daniel will jump out from behind you to try and scare you. After you’ve sent him off to tidy the room, turn around and collect the dirty clothes from the laundry basket. Take them downstairs and go into the dark room next to the kitchen. Flick the light switch so that you can see and wash the clothes in the machine.

After you’ve done the washing it’s time for another trophy. Go upstairs and play with the train set:

Collectable 2

You have to make sure you’ve done the following things before stopping the train:

  1. Set the far right switch to ‘go right’
  2. Prep the coal to refuel the train car
  3. After the train has been refuelled by the coal loader (by passing through it), change the far right switch to ‘go forward’.
  4. When the train travels around the outside of the loop and through the tunnel on the right hand side, Sean will say he thinks something’s stuck.
  5. Use cn_R1 to speed up the train so it passes through the tunnel a second time.

Finally, stop the train at the station and interact with it to collect the Beaver Creek sign:

When you’ve finished looking around, interact with the back door to ‘get out’.

Once you’re outside, you can go over to the shed in the corner of the garden and open it. Daniel will turn and see a kid climbing the treehouse. For those of you that played the prequel The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, the next scene might be familiar to you; the kid will fall from the treehouse and Daniel will stop him from getting hurt. After chatting to Chris and his dad, make a choice when talking to Daniel to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 7 - BENDING LAWS

There are two collectables within this chapter.

When the chapter begins, you will wake up and find Daniel has gone to play at the neighbour's house. Get dressed by interacting with the clothes on the floor and go downstairs. Before you leave the house to go find Daniel, there are a couple of things you can choose to interact with if you wish:

Interact with the note on the front door and then 'leave' to head outside. Go into the garden to the right of your grandparent's house and find the angry-looking snowman in the back garden:

After a bit of dialogue, Chris will ask you to pick which of his toys are the heroes and which are bad guys. Make the following choices for the next trophy:

CHAPTER 8 - CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

There is one collectable within this chapter.

Once you arrive at the Christmas market, talk to Daniel and make a decision. Daniel will wander off to look for a tree, leaving you to explore the market. There are a couple of things you can do here:

Once you've finished looking around, walk over to the busking woman at the back of the market and listen to her play a song. Listen to the whole song and once she's finished you can chat with her. You can also give her money by dropping a dollar onto the paper plate in front of her. After some dialogue she'll walk off, leaving behind a guitar pick under a tree by the fence, which you can pick up to earn:

Before you leave the area, you can decide whether to punish the stall owner or not by discussing it with Daniel.

Once you've finished, leave the market and return to the truck to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 9 - CONFESSIONS

There are no collectables within this chapter, which consists of a discussion with Chris' dad when you return from the market.

CHAPTER 10 - SCREECHING TYRES

There is one collectable within this chapter.

You will return from the market and re-enter your grandparents house to find them not yet home. Daniel will ask whether you can investigate the locked room upstairs.

Go into your grandparents bedroom. The vanity draw on the left as you enter the room will be locked; you'll need to find a key to open it. Search the nightstand to the left of the bed and then use the key that you find to open the vanity draw. Go back to Daniel and discuss where the key might be. You will have the option to ask Daniel to open the door with his powers or you can continue to look for the key. If you choose to look for the key, interact with the washing basket (cn_T then cn_X) in the bathroom to find your grandma's jumper, which will contain the key to Karen's room. Return to Daniel and open the door.

When you are in Karen's room there are a large amount of objects you can interact with around the room to give you some insight into her life. To find the last collectable, look to the left of the CD player and plug it in:

This episode will take you approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete and there are six collectables to pick up across the fifteen chapters.

CHAPTER 1 - SUMMER BREAKDOWN

There are no collectables within this chapter.

Episode 3 starts with a recap of the story so far, after which you find yourself back in your house, three months before the incident. When you gain control of Sean, interact with the items around your room if you wish, then exit your room into the hallway. To find Daniel there are several places you can look in with cn_O. You can search the door in front of you (and have a look around Daniel’s bedroom while you’re there), behind the bathroom door, behind the door opposite the kitchen counter and behind the cupboard door next to the front door. Search the door in between the two bookcases in the living room to find Daniel.

Once you’ve found Daniel you will tell him off until you are interrupted by your dad. Talk to your dad and he will ask you to go apologise to Daniel. Leave your room and knock cn_X on the door opposite. Once inside, get Daniel to listen to you by discussing two of the objects (toys) around the room with him (look for the blue arrow). Press cn_O to try and convince him to listen to you. After you’ve discussed two items with him, he’ll place the toy plane down next to him. Discuss the plane and you’ll sit down with Daniel, where you will talk to him to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 2 - RISE AND SHINE

There is one collectable in this chapter and there is also an opportunity to get the trophy related to ‘starting a drawing’.

When you wake up in the tent, you can go into your backpack and read through your diary to catch up on what’s been happening for Sean between episodes 2 and 3. Exit the tent to find yourself in a campsite. There are lots of people/things you can interact within the campsite before you progress with the story. First, it’s time to pick up the first collectable.

In front of your tent, you will see a burnt-out campfire and a dog. Pet the dog with cn_X and he will get up and wander off. Follow him to an area behind the washing up area and he will sit down again. Pet him once more and follow him to his next spot, behind Jacob’s tent:

Return to the tree stump next to where you first petted the dog, sit and draw with cn_X:

Hold cn_X to observe your surroundings then look down at the page and move cn_LS to draw the outline of the camp. You can stand up now or continue drawing the picture until it is finished. When you’ve had enough, stand up to earn:

Things to interact with at the campsite:

When you’ve finished looking around the campsite, head to the centre of the site to find the breakfast area and ‘pour and drink coffee’ with cn_X. After talking to your fellow campers it’s time to go find Daniel and Finn down at the lake. Head behind the breakfast area and you will see a ‘lake sign’ ahead of you. The path to the lake is to the right of this sign. Head down the path to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 3 - DAGGERS DRAWN

There are no collectables within this chapter.

After the cutscene, discuss Daniel’s throwing ability with Finn, after which it’s time to show off your knife skills. Wait until the white dotted line is in the bullseye and throw the knife with cn_R2. Finn with give you some tips on aiming and then give you a chance to throw again. Hold cn_L2 to stabilise your arm, which will focus in on the bullseye and slow down the reticule movement. Throw the knife with cn_R2 when it is in the centre of the bullseye. After Finn’s delight at your throw, he’ll ask you to do it once more. Throw the knife a final time and it won’t exactly go where you expect it to. Chat to Daniel and decide whether to ask about the watch, then follow him up the path and back through the camp to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 4 - REDWOOD CURTAIN

There are no collectables within this chapter, which consists of travelling to work in the truck and chatting to your fellow campers.

CHAPTER 5 - CASH CROP

There is one collectable within this chapter.

On your way into work choose to intervene or not, then talk to Merrill. When you sit down at the table it’s time for a mini-game. To trim the buds, press cn_L2 or cn_R2 when the white ring is in line with the edge of the circle. Getting the timing perfect will speed up the mini-game. Don’t worry if you get the timing wrong as the game will slow down if you’re struggling to keep up. Every now and then, you’ll have to clean your scissors with cn_X.

After reaching a score of eight, you will be able to pick up the pen in the middle of the table:

Now you’re back at camp you have a job to do before going down to the lake with Daniel. There are also a few people you can chat to at the campsite:

There’s also another opportunity to ‘sit and draw’ in the chair by your tent.

When you’ve finished exploring, move the water tanks from behind Jacob’s tent to the shower and kitchen. Select the tanks with cn_X and mash cn_X to pick them up. Carry one to the shower (over by the giant redwood) and one to the kitchen (in the centre of the campsite), and then you can head down to the lake to meet Daniel.

CHAPTER 7 - SKIPPING STONES

There is one collectable within this chapter.

After the cutscene with Daniel, you can find the next collectable in this episode. Turn around and walk forwards and slightly left towards the lake. There will be a couple of fallen tree logs piled up along the edge of the area; behind the logs, you will find a fossil:

Walk back to the fallen tree blocking the pathway around the lake. Hold cn_L2 and ask Daniel to lift the trunk with cn_O. Walk to the edge of the lake and up to the pine cones, where you can train Daniel’s precision with cn_L2 and cn_B. Next, select the mushrooms (cn_L2) to train destruction (cn_O), and finally select the stones (cn_L2) to train control. After the training, have a conversation with Daniel and watch the cutscene to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 8 - CAMPFIRE TALES

There are no collectables within this chapter.

In this chapter, you’ll sit around the fire and chat to your fellow campers. There is another opportunity to ‘sit and draw’ here. You can also choose to smoke, drink and tell a sad story. Choose to either go to bed when Daniel wants to or stay behind and get a haircut. Head back to the tent to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 9 - DAILY GRIND

There are no collectables within this chapter, which consists of cutscenes only with no player-controlled sections.

CHAPTER 10 - PAY DAY

There are no collectables within this chapter.

When the chapter begins you will be sat outside the office chatting about payment. Once inside, watch the scene play out and choose to take the blame or say nothing to end the chapter.

CHAPTER 11 - THE OATH

There are no collectables within this chapter.

After chatting to your fellow campers, follow the path down towards camp until you see Finn on your left. Daniel will run off towards camp, ending the chapter.

CHAPTER 12 - PARADISE LOST

There is one collectable within this chapter.

The decisions you make within this chapter will affect the way the rest of the episode plays out. You can either chat with Finn and choose to go on the heist with him or decide not to do the heist and take Cassidy's side. The collectables are available in either storyline, so side with either person as you wish.

To begin, chat with Finn and choose to either take his side or not regarding the heist. If you take his side, he will tell you to go and talk to Daniel and come and find him when you're ready.

Continue down the path into the camp and talk to Cassidy. Ingrid will say she'll leave you two alone and walk away; we'll come back and talk to her later on. For now, talk to Cassidy and choose to either get a tattoo or not. Allow her to pick the design or choose yourself. After you've finished, go and talk to Ingrid again. She will say she is packing up her tent and there are a few things outside her tent if you wish to have them before they are thrown away. Go to her tent and interact with their stuff:

Chat to the rest of your campers and say goodbye if you wish to. This is the point at which the chapter will split and affect the rest of the episode:

If you've taken Finn's side - Go and talk to Daniel and take him to the heist cn_O. After describing the plan to Daniel, the chapter will end.

If you've taken Cassidy's side - Go back along the path past Finn towards the lake. As the lake comes into view, the chapter will end.

Note: If you've taken Finn's side and decided to do the heist, you can still go back on your decision and side with Cassidy in the next chapter.

CHAPTER 13 - MIDNIGHT SWIM

There are no collectables within this chapter.

If you don't go down to the lake to see Cassidy, you will skip this chapter.

Decide to go into the lake or not, then either tell Cassidy the heist is a stupid idea or admit you're going to help them. If you admit to helping Finn, Cassidy will storm off and you will re-join Finn and Daniel at camp. If you say it's a stupid idea, you will have a few more scenes with Cassidy within this chapter.

CHAPTER 14 - UNDER THE HOOD

There are several ways in which you can go about the next couple of chapters; you can either choose to be stealthy to avoid alerting Big Joe and Merril or use Daniel's power to force your way into places. One method to get to the end of the episode is described below, but feel free to experiment and find other ways into the house.

If you agreed to do the heist:

Follow Finn and Daniel down the path until you come to a locked gate. Use cn_L1 and cn_O to ask Daniel to force the gate open. Once inside, try the four doors on the truck and car to find them all locked. You can then interact with the yellow locker at the back of the area:

Ask Daniel to force it open. You can also find a screwdriver in the toolbox in the shed in the back right of the area and force it open yourself. Once inside the locker, look at the bullet cartridges on the top shelf (cn_T) and pick one up with cn_X:

Puncture the tyres on the car to avoid Big Joe following you. Force open the rearview window on the truck and ask Daniel to climb in and unlock the door from the inside. Once the truck is unlocked, you can drive off with Finn and Daniel.

If you did not agree to do the heist:

After spending time with Cassidy, you will find that Daniel and Finn are missing. Follow Cassidy down the path until you come to the unlocked gate. You will find both the car and truck still parked within the area. Check the doors of the truck to find it locked. You can now go to the shed and pick up the screwdriver in the toolbox and use it to force open the yellow locker, as shown in the screenshot above. Pick up a bullet cartridge to earn:

Use the screwdriver to puncture the tyres on the car. Climb up into the back of the truck and force open the rearview window, then unlock the doors. Climb back down off the back of the truck and enter the truck through the now open door to drive away.

CHAPTER 15 - BAD HARVEST

There are no collectables within this chapter.

If you agreed to do the heist:

Once at the farm, head through the greenhouse and up to the house. There are several security cameras within this area; you can ask Daniel to destroy them before they see you if you want to cover your tracks. Now you need to find a way inside the house.

Open the green side door with Finn's kitchen key and head toward the living room door. When you try and open it you'll find it's blocked from the other side. Exit the building, turn left and go around the back of the building. Peer in the window and you will see the door has a lock-bar on it; ask Daniel to lift it with cn_L2 and cn_S. You can then go back inside and enter the living room.

If you did not agree to do the heist:

Sneak through the greenhouse with Cassidy and open the green kitchen door to find Daniel and Finn. Daniel will force open the living room door and walk in, ending the chapter.

In both playthroughs:

Merrill will come out and question you. Choose wisely now; obey or discuss, use Daniel's power or say nothing. Watch the final few scenes of the chapter to earn:

Episode 4 - Faith

Chapter 1 - New Perspectives

There is one collectable in this chapter and also the opportunity to get the drawing trophy.

Following the cutscene, you'll wake up in the hospital. After you’ve sat up you can look at several items around your bed. If you look to your right, you’ll see two letters on the table; one from Cassidy and another from Claire and Stephen. There might also be a note from Chris in there. You can get this episode’s drawing trophy by interacting with the sketchbook in front of you. Look at the sketchbook with cn_T (you can also read the book to see what has happened since the last episode ended), then interact with it again with cn_X to draw. Look to the window on your left and hold cn_X to observe the scene. Look back down at the sketchbook and wiggle cn_LS to begin the drawing. You can either continue the drawing or stop here. Either way, when you’re finished, you’ll earn:

When you’ve finished looking around you, look to your left and use the call button (cn_X) to call the nurse. After a short pause, Joey will come into the room and start chatting to you. During the medical tests, follow the light by moving your head with cn_RS. For the depth perception test, move the pen forwards and backwards with cn_LS and press cn_X to align it with Joey’s. Read the writing on the form to end the test.

The police officer will enter the room and interrupt your conversation. Answer her questions as you see fit and when she leaves the room to take the call, you can look at the case pictures next to you with cn_T. Wait for the officer to come back into the room and finish your conversation, after which she will leave, and Joey will return. After he’s finished cleaning your eye you can explore the room a little more.

To get the first collectable of the episode, look at Joey’s pen on the table at the end of your bed, then pick it up with cn_X:

After you’ve finished looking around, walk over to the towel by the window and ‘check’ it with cn_X. Read the sketchbook (cn_X) to see the chapter to the end.

Chapter 2 - Leap of Faith

There are several things you can use to get out of the hospital during this chapter. One method is described below, but feel free to experiment and find different ways to escape.

Go into the bathroom and turn on the light. 'Check' the grab bar next to the toilet with cn_X then interact with the bar again with cn_X and mash cn_X to tear it off. Exit the bathroom and close the curtain to hide your room from the guard outside. Open the window by your bed and look at the scaffolding on your right. Press cn_O to exit the look scene, then you will have the option to 'break safety' on the window with cn_O. Mash cn_X again to break the window open, after which you can 'go out' of the window and climb onto the ledge on the right. Press cn_S to 'keep going' and slowly move along the ledge until you come to the scaffolding, where you can 'escape'. After the cutscene, you'll pass a window and see Finn inside the room. Decide whether to wake him up (cn_S) or escape (cn_S).

Chapter 3 - Highway to Haven

This chapter consists of cutscenes where you watch Sean drive through the landscape.

Chapter 4 - Trespassing

Watch the cutscenes until you find yourself inside the car. Look slightly to the right to see Agent Flores' card:

Open your backpack and clean your eye. You can choose to look at a couple of things around the car before heading to sleep:

  • The owners stuff
  • Check the map to see where you're headed

When your ready to head to sleep, interact with the light on the roof.

Have a conversation with your dad until you're jolted awake. When questioned, choose to get out of the car or not. At several points in the conversation with the locals, you can either be difficult and confrontational or choose to comply. When they take the toy, either take it back or do nothing. When they ask you to sing, you can comply or refuse. Watch the cutscene to end the chapter.

Chapter 5 - The Long Haul

There is one collectable in this chapter.

After the cutscene you'll be walking along the road in the desert. Walk forward until you come to the large 'Two Pair' sign. You can choose to sit down in the shade here and draw if you missed the drawing opportunity in Chapter 1. You can also grab some water from your backpack to take a drink.

Carry on walking down the road and you'll see a desert fox in front of you, which will run away as you approach and head into its burrow. Pay attention to where it goes when it runs away; head to a spot by the large rocks near the burrow entrance to find a skull:

Head back toward the road and keep walking until the truck comes along. Approach the truck cab and open the door. Choose to get in or walk. If you get in, talk to Anton until you make it into Haven Point.

When you arrive at Haven Point, head forward through the gates and toward the church doors. Approach the man by the front door and he'll invite you in for the service. After you've finished talking to him, enter the church and head toward the table in front of you and slightly to the left. Next to the flyer there will be a pin box:

Before heading up the stairs behind you, there are a few things you can do:

Head up the stairs and watch the cutscene. Talk to Sarah Lee and you can ask her questions about Haven Point and the people in it. Ask her to take you to Daniel and she'll take you downstairs, where you will talk to Daniel and be introduced to Lisbeth. After Daniel leaves, you'll be stuck talking to Lisbeth and the conversation will go sour. After being thrown out of the church you can decide to 'do nothing' or 'get up'. Watch the cutscene to end the chapter.

Chapter 7 - Open Hearts

There is one collectable in this chapter.

When the chapter begins, Sean will be in the shower. After getting out, exit the bathroom into the hotel bedroom. Go to the bedside cabinet between the two beds and open the draw:

There are a couple of things you can interact with in this room:

Read Karen's note on the bed and she'll tell you to contact Jacob on the number he listed on the attached note. Read the second note, then use the hotel phone on the bedside table to call Jacob with cn_A. After talking to Jacob, sit on the bed and wait for Karen.

When Karen returns, have a conversation with her and ask her questions if you want. After the conversation, when you're ready press cn_B to head back inside. Clean your eye on your own or accept Karen's assistance to draw the chapter to a close.

Chapter 8 - Brothers in Arms

Watch the cutscene and chat to Karen until Jacob arrives. Have a conversation with Jacob and Karen until the chapter ends.

Chapter 9 - Hidden Scriptures

As with Chapter 2, there are a few ways you can get into Haven Point, some of which result in you alerting certain people. Play carefully and you can avoid being caught or alerting anyone. One playthrough method is described below.

With Jacob, walk forward toward the church and go around the right hand side. You'll come across a lady sat down. Don't stop to talk and she'll become suspicious, but won't question you further. Continue down the slope toward the building, approach the side door and enter (cn_A) the building. After talking to Jacob you'll have free roam of the building.

Walk forward into the open doorway slightly to the right and search the top right small draw on the desk to find a key to the locked office.

There are some things you can look at here to get some insight into Lisbeth's life:

In the same room, interact with the door on the left to enter Daniel's room. You can search the closet to pick up his jacket and look at a few other things around the room. Look (cn_T) at the drawing under his pillow:

Enter the locked office by using the key. After finding the file, talk to Jacob about his therapy. You'll be interrupted by Karen, who will radio through and say the thug who works for Lisbeth is on his way. Choose whether to enlist Karen's help to get rid of him. If you reply 'okay', close the open cabinet draw and hide in the closet. The guy will come in and start to search for you before getting distracted by something and leaving. After he leaves, you can spend some time searching the office to find things related to Jacob, Lisbeth and Daniel:

When you've finished, interact with the front door to 'get out'. After talking to Jacob, head back around the front of the church to meet Karen.

Chapter 10 - Dust to Dust

After entering the church, you'll have a conversation with Daniel and Lisbeth. You can use the things you found in Lisbeth's house to try and convince Daniel to come with you. When Nicholas knocks you down, mash cn_X to get back up. Do this a few times, play through the final scenes of the episode and decide what to do with Lisbeth to draw the episode to a close. Episode 5: Wolves

Chapter 1 - New Dawn

There is one collectable within this chapter and also an opportunity to get the sit and draw trophy.

After the opening cutscene you’ll have a conversation with Daniel, after which you need to pack up your stuff to head back. Before packing up, look to your left and you’ll see your journal and sketchbook. You can read the sketchbook to find out what has happened to Daniel and Sean between episode 4 and 5. Look at your sketchbook and ‘draw’ to earn:

Pack up your sketchbook, journal and the telescope to the left of you. Daniel will offer to help packing up the rest of your things. Press cn_L2+ cn_O to ask Daniel to pack up the flashlight, food container and sodas in front of you and slightly to the right. After standing up, head back down from the cliff by walking down the track behind you, talking to Daniel as you go. You can discuss a couple of the items you see as you walk along the track.

When the track splits (by the ‘weed’), take the higher up, left hand side path to the end and look (cn_T) at the shiny object on the rock in the distance in front of you:

Head back down the path and take the right hand side lower path until you come to some rocks. Look (cn_T) at the rocks in front of you and press cn_L2 + cn_O to ask Daniel to move them, ending the chapter.

Chapter 2 - Sand People

There are two collectables within this chapter.

In Chapter 2, you’ll find yourself in ‘Away’. There are four main areas to 'Away'; Karen’s caravan, Joan’s RV, Arthur and Stanley’s house, and David’s caravan.

If you missed the previous ‘sit and draw’ trophy, you can climb up on top of Karen’s caravan (where you begin the chapter) and sit and draw in the chair. When you’re ready, leave (cn_O) the chair and climb down the ladder.

You can go into Karen’s caravan and look at a few things:

Outside the caravan, you can discuss the crops and water tank with Daniel. When facing away from Karen’s caravan, look at the planter of crops on the right. Head to the crops and you’ll see a sticker on top of one of the corner posts:

Before heading to Stanley and Arthur’s house to return the telescope, you can go to Joan’s RV to see her and Daniel. Joan’s RV is to the left of Karen’s caravan (when facing away from the caravan). At Joan’s RV, go around the back of the trailer to see her and Daniel at work. You can help Joan out and make a sculpture with them. When building the sculpture, use cn_L2 +cn_O on the metal belly, arms and head to build the sculpture. You can also rotate the pieces of the sculpture by asking Daniel to turn them. When you’re happy with the end result, look at Joan and press cn_X to finish the sculpture.

Head to Arthur and Stanley’s house, which is in front and slightly to the left of Joan’s RV (when facing away from the RV). You can discuss a couple of things with Daniel while you’re here:

Give the telescope back by interacting with Arthur and Stanley. After a conversation with them, you’ll have to wait for Karen to come back. Daniel will radio through and say he has hidden a secret treasure for you to find. Accept the quest to find the treasure; it’s the next collectable in the episode.

Firstly, head to the base of the windmill and you’ll find the first hidden clue, which is under a small pile of rocks. You’ll find a map of Away under the rocks. Daniel will give you the second clue; ‘something that eats the sun’. Head to the solar panels to the left of Karen’s caravan (if facing the caravan). The clue is stuck on the back of the solar panels. You’ll now have a completed map of Away with an ‘X’ marking the treasure spot:

To find the treasure, head to the spidery sculpture in the centre of Away, then head to the pile of rusty cars behind it (behind the ‘swap box’):

After you’ve found the treasure, Karen will return. Head to Karen and David to trigger the cutscene. Talk to Karen and David and take the groceries inside Karen’s trailer. Head outside to talk to Karen and she’ll ask you to radio Daniel and ask him to join you both. Talk to them both and watch the cutscene to end the chapter.

Chapter 3 - Fire Flies

There are no collectables within this chapter.

After the cutscene it will be night time and you’ll be back at the canyon. Follow Karen to the top of the canyon and watch the cutscene to end the chapter.

Chapter 4 - Away

There is one collectable within this chapter.

After the cutscene, chat to Daniel and Karen. When you gain control of Sean you'll be inside Karen's caravan. Choose to write her a letter or not, before you leave by interacting with the piece of paper in front of you. You can look at the newspaper next to the letter before you leave the caravan. When you leave, head forward and to the right to David's shiny trailer. Knock (cn_X) on the door to see David. He'll ask you to get the police radio from his trailer. There are several things in David's trailer you can interact with to get insight into his life before Away:

When you've finished looking around the trailer, interact with the police scanner (cn_X) next to the trailer door. Switch it on and tune the frequency to 154.95 to find the police frequency. Leave the trailer and Sean will talk to David. After the conversation, head behind the antenna next to the trailer and you'll find a small pile of 'junk':

Before leaving Away, you can say goodbye to everyone. Go see Arthur and Stanley and Joan and finally, head back to the truck and talk to Karen. When you're ready to leave, interact with the truck (cn_X) to 'leave Away'.

Chapter 5 - Last Miles

There are no collectables within this chapter, which consists of Sean and Daniel talking in the car as they make their way towards the border.

Chapter 6 - The Wall

There is one collectable within this chapter.

When you exit the car, walk forward and to the right to find a small pile of rocks with a few supplies next to them:

Walk towards 'the wall' and use cn_L2 + cn_O to ask Daniel to destroy it. On the way back to the car, have a conversation with the people that approach you to end the chapter.

Chapter 7 - Cages

There is one collectable within this chapter.

When you wake up you'll be in jail. Talk to the couple next to you (and the awful vigilantes in the cell next to you if you wish) until the vigilantes get angry. Choose to intervene or not when Diego gets angry. The guard will come and take you to the interrogation room. He will handcuff you to the table then leave for a short while. When he gets back he'll ask you a few questions about your crimes. After a short while, Daniel will come and rescue you. When you leave the room, Daniel will go and talk to the vigilantes. You can decide to 'free' or 'take revenge' on them, or leave them in their cell. You can also free Carla and Diago who were sharing the cell with you.

Head down the corridor and through the open door. A couple of new guards will approach you from the other end of the corridor. Take them out by interacting with items in the room. After they're down you can get the final collectable of the game. Head into the locked room on your right by asking Daniel to open the door using his powers. You'll find several items on the shelves inside the room including the 'vigilantes bag' on the bottom shelf. Look at the bag (cn_T), then pick up the flag pin:

Leave the room and head forward through the door the guards came through earlier. Watch the cutscene to end the chapter.

Chapter 8 - Independence Day

There are no collectables within this chapter.

When you arrive at the wall, you'll have a conversation with Daniel, after which you can decide how to end the game by choosing to surrender or not. How you have interacted with Daniel throughout the game and the morals you have taught him will contribute to how this chapter will go.

Chapter 9 - Blood Brothers

There are no collectables within this chapter, which will show the final scenes of the game and will vary depending on the decisions you have made throughout the game, including the final decision you made during chapter 8. As the game draws to a close you'll earn the following trophies.
