Beat the game, walk away, make a sammich, take a shower, 'drop the kids off at the pool', sleep, whatever. Just leave it at the credits for 30 minutes. Simple.
Worth noting, the controller must be undisturbed, so either turn it off or press the 'Home' button to bring up the XMB (home screen) and leave it for 30 minutes.
