Missable Trophy Checklist:
* If you've missed any of these, I'd simply suggest creating a new game to go ahead and claim them.
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***When you come to in Rubacava, one year after getting there, enter the new joint. Take the correspondence letters on the writing desk near the bed, bring them out to read them all, and then head downstairs. Inquire about Lupe's organizational system, then head down off-screen to talk to Glottis about leaving. You can head into the Casino and talk to Chowchilla Charlie, getting the ticket machine and inquire about a passport. Then, head out of Calavera's. You'll encounter a video where Manny sees Meche. When you come to, you'll be outside the Limbo with Velasco. Talk to him to learn that you need three things: a union card, an open spot on the Limbo's roster, and tools for Glottis. When you are done, head to the background until Manny looks up at the moon and press . You can then leave this screen.
Take the first exit to the north and enter the Blue Casket. Step up to the microphone and recite some beatnik poetry from the heart, or lack of, and then show the correspondence letters to the trio sitting at one of the tables, then pick up the book. Head further south for the screen to shift. Encounter Lola and, after the story progresses, ask Olivia to recite some poetry. Then you can leave the Blue Casket. Go further left to change locations to the warehouses, and talk to the Sea Bees about everything. When your options are exhausted, give the lead bee the book from the Blue Casket. He will be imprisoned, but at least you'll be one step closer. All that's left now is to go back to the crossroad and take the southern path. Here, locate the lever near the top right and use it to have a shortcut to the Cat Races.
Head back to Calavera's, picking up the Marillo de Oro on the bar before entering the casino. Speak to Chowchilla Charlie (and inquire about a passport if you haven't already) and ask for a union card. He'll give you the VIP card and ask you for something in return. With that card, begin to leave Calavera's, but stop by Lupe and ask her if anything from Lola has come. Now, head to the Cat Races and find the hallway leading to the VIP elevator. When you get up there, head into the kitchen and find out how you can get into the basement. Pick up the baster in the foreground, leave the kitchen, and you will want to head right, changing the camera angle. Then enter the big doorway and speak to Maximino.
After speaking with Max in general, leave and then go talk to Nick Verago, who should be sitting in the foreground. Ask him to be your lawyer and he will eventually scoff at the idea. Threaten to tell Max about the affair and he'll leave to speak to Max himself. Take his cigarette tin and leave the Cat Races through the main entrance. Once you're outside, take the rising staircase near the entrance to enter the security station. Here, you will want to use the Marillo de Oro and then pass through the checkpoint, requiring a strip search from Officer Carla. Once you are taken into the back room, let her spill her guts until she starts crying, and then ask for the metal detector. Don't lie, tell her that's the only reason you came there and she will throw it out into the litter. Now, take out the cigarette tin and show it to her, saying it was found under her desk and left by a shifty individual. She'll detonate it and you will claim a key.
Head back to the Sea Bees and go past them to get to the lighthouse. Use the key on the door and you will see poor Lola. After the scene, you will have a card with a tongue on it. Take this back to Lupe to get a girl's coat, and then examine it to get #36: Rusty Anchor. Before doing anything else with it, head downstairs in Calavera's and show this to Glottis. After that, you can show him the VIP Pass to get him set up for his later role. Now you can head back to the crossroads and go back to the Blue Casket. Enter the kitchen to find out how the club makes their drinks, then take the baster and use it on the nearby sink. Leave the Casket and then return to the crossroads, heading south. On this screen (where you used the lever to get a shortcut to the Cat Races), continue to the lower right (following the tracks) and keep going in this direction until you enter the Tattoo salon.
In the salon, first proceed further back and enter Toto's personal space, where his bed and fridge are. Open the fridge, then open the little compartment to keep the door open some. Walk back to the other screen and take out the turkey baster, standing near the alcohol bottle. When Toto turns around to close the fridge door, use the baster on the bottle. Naranja will be knocked out, and once you are able to move again, examine his body to get his ID tag. Now that Toto isn't busy, show him the Rusty Anchor to get a race photo. This will display one race in particular that is going to be the bane of your puzzling brain without a bit of help. There are three things to note about the photo: the airship, the hats that many are wearing, and the large number displayed twice in the background. Here's why:
1) The airship is known as the Olivia 1.
2) The headgear being worn are known as kitty hats.
3) This was the sixth race of the day.
With this knowledge, head back to the Cat Race Tracks, as we've got a bit of sleuthing to do. There are two windows in the race track lobby. One of them deals with placing bets on the current race, which will be on the left side of the stairs leading up and out (picture it as if you were standing in Manny's place, looking forward after climbing down the stairs). Talking to the attendant here, he will talk about being out of kitty hats and to "come back on Kitty Hat Tuesdays". With that, head down the stairs then turn right to get to a little museum for one of the cats. Head over to the middle of it and read the display, which will inform you of the former cat's name (Sanspoof) and when its career was cut short: during the second week of the racing season, due to the crash of the Olivia 1. With this information, you can take out Chowchilla Charlie's ticket machine. The way the machine works is that the first option is the racing week, the second option is the specific day of that week, and the third option is the race itself.
(I've given you all the information for you to put it together without it being directly laid out.)
Take the ticket stub to the second window (from the standpoint of the bottom of the stairs you used to get in, it'll be to the right, or opposite of the elevator to the VIP lounge) and you will receive some... compromising evidence against Nick. Now return back to Nick and, in exchange for the incriminating evidence, he'll be Terry's lawyer. When you return to the Sea Bees, join in the chant until they start cheering you on, and when you've completed that cheer, head back to the Cat Races.
Depending on the route you took to get here, you need to head down towards the actual racetrack. Manny will have a thing about not wanting to get closer to everyone, but you will want to head further right and go off-screen to reach the stuffed cat case. Further on in the screen, you can see an open doorway, leading into the litter box. On one of the nearby cans is a can opener, so pick that up and then head onto the little diving board out in the sea of scooping. Bring out your scythe and use it where the beeping is the loudest. As Manny is waving the scythe about, press and he should scoop the metal detector out of the litter. Pick it up, then return to the High Rollers Club.
Enter the kitchen and go towards the elevator, where you'll spot Aitor. Talk to him about going down. As adamant as he is to beat you instead of let you enter, you'll have to improvise. Open the tap on the wine keg and the waiter will come in and yell at you. Enter the kitchen again, and this time, open the pantry door and wait for the waiter to enter. Close the door behind him, then seal it closed with your scythe. Now use the can opener on the wine casket and hop right in. After some progression, you'll be in the wine cellar. But the briefcase with Charlie's money isn't here. Hop on the forklift and then enter the elevator. To operate the elevator, hop back off the forklift and then press the button. Immediately hop back on the forklift and slide the prongs into the open slits on the door. If successful, and fast enough, you should jam the forklift right between an open doorway between the wine cellar and the kitchen. Go around to the foreground side of the forklift and use the lever to raise the prongs, opening the gap.
Two items down, the only thing left for you to do is to make an available spot on the Limbo's crew roster. Near the lift, before heading off towards either Calavera's or the Cat Races, there will be a well-lit doorway leading into the morgue. Membrillo will regale you with a story about his job, so make sure to exhaust all topic choices with him. Once done, bring out Naranja's ID and toss it onto the body that he's not examining, then hand him the metal detector. All that should remain now is to get Glottis ready for the job. But he's so inebriated that he will never leave the VIP Room as long as he has credit, which is his co-ownership of the Calavera Cafe. So, it's time to quickly lose what you spent a year to build up.
Head back to Manny's office and wait until the dial on the lower left is lit up for the lower right table, then turn the magnet off. This will piss off Police Chief Bogen, who will insist on shutting the club down. You'll be setting off for the Limbo immediately after that, chasing after Meche.
