I HAVE POSTED 2 VIDEOS IN THIS SOLUTION. ONE FOR ALL COLLECTIBLES AND THE FIRST ONE FOR THE SHIV DOORS ONLY WHICH INCLUDES TIME STAMPS.
IMPORTANT: Be careful when you save! I saved when i was in the library which had a shiv door and a joke and when i loaded the game luckily i noticed the door was closed and decided to wait and see if the joke had reset also which it had. So if you save just after doing one of these make sure to check that it has not reset and you need to do it again!
Something to know is that when upgrading Joel you have the option to upgrade "Shiv Master" which will help towards this as it gives your shiv better durability and instead of you losing your shiv when trying to break away from a clicker it wont break.
There are also 2 training manuals that do the same so you should get them also. They are called Shiv: Sharpening and Shiv:Reinforcement. I say this because you don't want to find your self at a shiv door and no shiv to open it. I would rather die than lose my last shiv on a clicker then find a shiv door with no shiv to open it because some shiv doors have collectibles and they also have a lot of goodies that count towards your upgrade trophies. But i just recommend following the survival guide i posted so you get all collectibles and other trophies that require you searching out things along with jokes and conversations both with trophies.
This guide would be handy if you have missed one or two as you can use chapter select from the main menu then use the time stamp to find the exact location needed in the video which is also in clickable format in the video desctription on youtube.
My last piece of advice is to ALWAYS have at least one shiv handy for these doors, so every time you use one and are down to none, when you get the chance create a new one do so and keep it for your next door.

I advise you to always keep at least one shiv handy for a door or you could miss out.This video may be from the PS3 version but i guess you will be going for all collectibles and this has them all, jokes, shiv doors, comics,optional conversations,tool boxes, firefly pendants,training manuals and all the other things like notes and letters and will work for the remastered version also. It's a very good guide imo as it shows you the area giving you some bearing as where you are instead of those videos that just load up and have you standing right in front of the collectible without giving you any idea as to where about you are at all, it also lets you know when you are in a new chapter.
I basically pause the video when i see the next location after he shows you what to look for and then when i get there start it and repeat.
IMO this is the best video out there if you are going for everything and just want one single video to play instead of having to constantly load different videos for each item or chapter.
If you do miss the door by mistake don't worry there is a chapter select you can use in the main menu.
I used it for the PS3 and i used it for the PS4 again and everything worked fine.
