There are seven chapters to the game itself, with several secondary and tertiary quests to distract you with. The following contain spoilers, so you have been warned.
Prologue: Welcome to Office
Chapter I: The Moonbucks Mystery
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***The manager of Moonbucks has disappeared, and yet there is strange things going on with that franchise. Find the keys near a cave in Mount Pom-Pom, then return to the coffee shop to access the basement. While exploring, you'll find the boss of the whole thing and find out that they have been caffeine-loading the denizens of Earth for some darker purpose.
Chapter II: Journey to the Capital
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***You've been called to the Capital. You can take the car there or work your way over there (even using Psychologist and shortcutting there through the Dream World). When you speak with the President over the issue with Moonbucks, he'll ask you to go seek some coffee out for himself. In doing so, when you return, you'll find that he has been kidnapped and you have to make it back to his office.
Chapter III: Follow that Franchise
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***You have three quests to mainly take up, any of them that will tell you where Moonbucks headed. That's all there is to this chapter, though you have to end up proceeding after it by checking the Sugarflats and the Hippy Camp.
Chapter IV: Bad Juju
*** Spoiler - click to reveal *** Meeting with the Hippies, you're told to meet with the Hippy Guru. After a battle against him, he'll ask you to settle some bad vibes elsewhere on the planet, in Camp Koo-Koo, Panjama Island, and the Executive Retreat. After dealing with the robot bosses at each location, you return to the Guru, and are then told to go pick up the Artifact at the Hippy Camp before walking to Moonbucks, now that you know where it is.
Chapter V: For the Crater Good
*** Spoiler - click to reveal *** Start by picking the Artifact up, then go talk to the Secretary in the Forbidden Highway tunnel nearby. After that, you have several options for getting to Wellspring Desert, and from there, make your way to the middle exit of Casino Canyon. However, to do this, you have to enter the Casino and take care of the robot boss there. Then you can return and enter the Moonbucks and explore the place.
Chapter VI: Locked Up Aboard
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***Fighting the boss of Moonbucks, you'll end up having the chance to follow the path forward and find out what they were guarding. After some story, you'll have to first escape from jail, then toggle three switches throughout the spaceship. You'll need help from all three if you're wanting to confront the Alien Commander, who awaits you at the end of this very short chapter.
Chapter VII: The Brink of Destruction
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***Defeating the aliens, you return back home for some well deserved rest. Only, you don't get to sleep too long before the Secretary, the mastermind behind all of the evils you had taken on since the first chapter, reveals himself. Stalking him down to the backyard of the School, you finish this epic showdown by taking him down. Only, the alien technology he stole to destroy the world is really going to destroy the world. It is up to you, as the VP, to finish the scripted battle against the Misery Machine and win the game.
Definitely give this game a thorough play-through before you write it off. It is worth the nostalgic factor and all the repeated crashed I went through to see the end.
