To get this trophy you need to get 100% approval in the quest Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. If you are playing as anything other than a human rogue or warrior, your approval rating is lowered at the start of the quest. Following this guide will get you to 100% regardless of your race/class.
The quested is broken up into three "scenes".
1. Outside of the Winter Palace and before they enter the ballroom for the first time.
2. After leaving the ballroom the 1st time but before returning the 2nd.
3. Everything after.
SCENE 1
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***
- Jumping on the furniture at any point while in the Palace will lower approval. Don't do it.
- In the garden, there is a noble lady who has lost her ring. Getting it increases approval.
- When speaking to people in the in the ballroom you need to be very indirect. Don't ask for information, don't talk about why you're there. Just be as vague as possible unless talking to other inquisition members. The middle dialogue choice is your best friend. Left side dialogue wheel quests, while usually cause no harm, can lose you approval!
- Celene intro, don't tell her that her life is in danger. Be charming instead, doing so will gain you court approval.
SCENE 2
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***
Now it's time to investigate the library, and the other “off limit” rooms. When not at the party, approval decays. Roughly 2 points a minute.
- The best way to offset this is to save prior to entering these off limit areas, search them, and reload once you’ve found what you need and gather them as quickly as you can since you know their location.
- Speak to Duke Germain, Gaspard’s uncle. Asking him to "clarify his relationship" with Gaspard. This grants a gain of court approval.
- There is a servant walking around complaining about a noble. Call the noble a “jerk” and gain court approval.
- There are guards at the end of a hallway. Walk up to them, they will tell you that the wing behind them is currently off limits. If you approach them a 2nd time, the result is a loss of court approval.
- Throwing caprice coins into a fountain in the garden will gain 1 approval per coin. Woohoo!
- This scene is timed once you pick up the negotiation papers. When it is time to return to the ballroom, a bell will sound. You will say something along the lines of “I should head back.” Wait until the second bell before you enter the ballroom. You will say something along the lines of “I’m fashionably late now.” This is a good thing. Being fashionably late will results in a gain of court approval. Be careful though, If you wait until the third bell sounds, you lose court approval.
SCENE 3
*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***
In this scene, you're tasked with killing the venatori dudes. Again, when outside the party court approval will deplete. Use the same strategy as in Scene 2.
- This act is timed. Upon returning from the servants’ quarters the countdown begins. Ad hear to the first bell.
- Upon returning the other wing there are 3 guards led by Anton outside of the Trophy Room. Spy on them, then go up to them afterward. Send them to Cullen, it results in a gain of court approval.
- Most of the materials for The Great Blackmail Hunt can be obtained in this act. If needed, completing 25/30 secrets will increase court approval, however, it's pretty time-consuming and not necessary for 100%.
- When dancing with Florianne, always schoose the middle dialogue. If you’ve followed the previous steps, you should have 100% court approval by the end of the dance. Boom!
After the speaking with Briala, Gaspard, And Celene, you should end the quest with 100% approval and unlock the trophy!
