How to unlock the Triple Play trophy

The description for this is misleading. You need to kill at least one of each class within I believe 4 seconds. If you succeed, the Trophy will pop right then.

I recommend choosing the Control game mode. Your best chance will be on a small map, not those larger maps where people hop in their Sparrows to get around. You may well get this eventually through normal play, however to increase your chances you should camp near a common flag that your team owns, not moving and out of sight as best you can, and wait to see the flag being taken by the other team. Wait another few seconds to let more of their team arrive, then pop out and drop a super ability on them, and clean up with your shotgun and melee as needed.

If all classes were chosen equally by the other team, I calculate (hopefully correctly!) that the odds of getting this from a triple kill will be 22%, and from a quadruple kill 44% (credit to ElectroSpecter). In practice there are currently fewer Titans than other classes, so the odds will be lower. I don't know the exact ratio of classes chosen, so let's say it might be a ballpark estimate of 1 in 7 to get this from a triple kill. Good luck!

KINGsucramThis does involve a lot of luck but I found the 3 vs 3 game modes the best for this trophy. Teams typically stay together in these game modes. Now use a super grenade or heavy weapon to wipe them out quickly. I've had a lot of triple kills this way using the bladedancer subclass for hunter. This is where the luck comes into play and hope that they are all 3 different classes.

Whiskeyjack98So this is why I can't get this one. I was wondering why I couldn't get this trophy even after 7-8 killstreak. 4 seconds ? That's just bullshit. Now I know I won't bother to try to get this one anymore.

BarsoomianI'd like to know why someone thought this worthy of a down-vote and not even offer an explanation why. The solution explains the trophy requirement, gives tips on how to do it, and even has a rough calculation of the odds involved. What else was someone expecting?

TheVVolfGot mine by total chance last night playing a Clash match.
    100% pure random fluke.

niteowl1980I just got this playing a Rift match. If you "ignite the rift" then any enemy guardians guarding it are killed. So I just got this trophy without actually attacking the enemies intentionally.

ElectroSpecterRegarding the math: I agree with 22% for triple kill (more accurately, 2/9 chance), but for the quadruple kill, I'm getting 36 desirable combinations out of a total of 81, or 4/9 (44%). I could be wrong.

Also, this is assuming of course that each class is just as likely as another to be picked.

ElectroSpecterAs far as actually getting into a situation where I can get a triple kill... that's another story. I'm gonna have to boost this one.

BarsoomianElectro, I just double checked your number of 36/81 desirable combinations in a quadruple kill, and you're right! I wonder what I was doing when I originally got 33% instead of 44.44%. Interesting that it took someone nearly 4 years to notice that. Solution updated accordingly.
