Open Players -> Local Players -> Player 2. Set Amateur difficulty.
If you pot 2-3 balls on the break, this will be your best opportunity. You’re controlling both players, so if you miss a shot with your account, use the opponent to pot one of your own balls. Which also lets you place the cue ball on your next shot, since they fouled. Try not to spend too much time lining up shots, which is a real easy trap to fall into.
This took me about 12 tries, including a couple restarts (by going right back through the steps to start a game) when nothing was potted on the break. Eventually, I got a nice pattern where I was able to just keep potting one after another. I did this with Shot Cinematics disabled under My Profile -> Options, but the game still likes to spend a lot of time repositioning the camera.
