  This is not as difficult as you might first think. It's a good idea to get the 100% on this as well. First, make sure all your ammo is fully stocked. Make your way to the mansions main gates and wait for the cut scene. Once that is out of the way go round to the right where there are 4 guards, near the haycart. Shoot these with the blunderbuss. Then go back round to the main gate and shoot the guards there; this gets the "shoot 5 guards" part out of the way.
  
  Hopefully another guard will investigate the bodies at the gate which will trigger the governor running away. You'll now be rushed by the other guards, so throw a smoke bomb and escape towards the sea front (no need to chase the target) waiting/hiding til you become anonymous again.
  
  Use the pulley system to get on the rooftop with the hiding area, which also contains an explosive barrel. Pick this up and throw towards the campfire from the rooftop. This will kill a couple of guards, and cause the other guards to come running. Pick a guard, hit with berserk dart. Keep doing this until the guards are nearly all gone. I was left with one guard remaining near the governor so went across to the roof in the red area and hit that guard with a sleep dart. Now all that remains is arm fists and approach the target, now block then disarm. Now kill with the branding iron, job done.

  You don’t need to take out every guard to get this trophy.
  
  Just equip fists to ensure you don’t accidentally stab him to death, chase him down after you’ve done the 5 guard shot for full sync (which can be done by just turning round to shoot them while they’re chasing you).
  
  and then to disarm him and take the branding iron. Then beat him to death with it. You are unlikely to have any issues staying alive in this fight even if you leave all the guards next to him alive.
