Barking Up the Cherry Tree is a trophy that is capable of being missed, even though it is somewhat story related.
Requirements:
Deaths: 4 minimum
Being revived by the Astral Pouch does not count as a death, only the game over screen counts as one. The game is easy enough, where you shouldn’t have to worry about this.
Praise Earned: 4500 minimum
With this, you can spend your praise. The game will keep track of this at all times. If you have the Grab Life by the Leash trophy, you have this already, as you need 6,020 to get all the upgrades. (I think my math may be off, If someone can confirm this, thank you)
Enemies Defeated: 550 minimum
You can get 300 enemies, from the three Demon Gate Trials alone. Each one has 100 enemies from each gate. Be warned though, this can be difficult for new players.
Demon Fangs: 300 minimum
You can spend these, just like praise. It keeps count.
Golden Fury, Brown Rage, Deflectors; floral finishers, and loading mini-games will be your best friend. Golden Fury nets you one Demon Fang per enemy. Brown Fury nets you two Demon Fangs per enemy. Some enemy moves can be deflected back, and net you a demon fang.
The two loading screen mini-games can net you one Demon Fang per screen. One requires you to press the X button in time to the paw prints. The second requires you to smash the X button, but you need to be quick. (Don’t break your controller though…)
Last but not least, Floral Finiahsers. These can net you anywhere from 2 – 6 fangs, depending on the enemy. (I’ll add a list later.)
Money Gained: 4,000,000 Yen minimum
Just like Praise and Demon Fangs, you can spend your Yen. It keeps count.
A few ways to get this is fishing and selling the fish. Also, all three Demon Gate Trials can net you from 1,003,760 to 2,007,520, depending on your ranks for each wave. (I’m not sure if these can be repeated)
