How to unlock the Insatiable Adventurer trophy

Despite the trophy description being somewhat unclear, this is for clearing the 9 levels of the main game, not 9 Levels of the Labyrinth of Chaos (the optional randomized dungeon that opens up after you have beaten the game on normal).

After you have reached the middle of the game (after the mission to the Lost Woods where you collect dragon research, and during the section where you are collecting Talismans), the option to 'extend' your adventure becomes available. At the end of a level, you can select extend to play the next level (in map order), with your HP resetting, but your LP, item uses, and (most crucially) item durability not resetting. This trophy will award if you start on one level and then beat that level and the other 8 levels in a row, without ever choosing to end your adventure. It does not matter if you take the A or the B route, as long as you pass the level and extend you are fine. The trophy awards during the results screen of the ninth level. You can even continue extending after your trophy.

This trophy can be obtained fairly early in the game (you dont need to have beaten the dragon, or even really to have the talismans), the key thing is to have enough separate equipment bags fully kitted out so that you can switch appx every three levels to keep your equipment from running out (I recommend have at least 4 bags fully outfitted). If you bring AI companions along on this they will run out of equipment durability and become mostly useless about 2/3rd of the way through. The way to handle this is either to plan on soloing the levels (this is the way I did it), or allow them to die off and hope for a fresh adventurer to join you mid-run from your bench. The first time i got this trophy I did this with a full AI party while i was level ~24. Since then I also did a full solo run of the levels (actually i think i did 12) while level 32 or so.

In terms of level progression the map order is Ghost ship -> Bilbarron fortress -> Castle of the Dead -> Ancient Temple -> Wallace's Lab -> Forgotten Sanctuary -> Old Capital -> Mage's Tower -> Lost Woods -> repeat. Really you can start anywhere because you will have to play through them all, but for my money the toughest levels (in terms of A routes) are the Mage's Tower and Lost Woods and roughly the A route difficulty is in the original mission order. Therefore my advice is to start on Forgotten Sanctuary, this should let you build up a few life points before you get to Mage's Tower and Lost Woods, and then will allow you to finish out on relatively easy levels like ancient temple and Wallace's.

    Other notes:
    * Whatever prayer you use will be active for the entire adventure until you return to town. My preference is Adventurer's Boon (or stronger version if you have already unlocked it), as the bonus points will both give you more experience and allow you to more quickly score extends over course of play.
    * Speaking of extends (+1 LP to party) these award at 30k, 100k, 250k, 500k, 750k, 1M, 1.5M.. Make good use of these, especially if you are bringing along AI allies
    * You can only switch bags at the middle point of the level (where you decide A or B route), but you cannot view equipment durability at this time. Get familiar with where the middle point is and get in the habit of checking your durability (scroll through the items in your bag as if you were going to use them) right before reaching this point so you know when you need to swap.
    * Make good use of Runes. Nearly every zone area will have some runes. Of particular note: if you see I and P, match with T to make TPI which restores one LP. If you see I alone, make EIS which will restore one item use to everything in your current bag (and allies). A B rune alone or with anything else I always make DSB with, for a double score bonus that lasts for ~2 minutes. P and A matched with D to make PAD that gives a big boost to attack and defense for a short time. Finally in certain side rooms watch for H and F, and match up with T to make THF which spawns a fancy-style hidden chest.
    * If durability/etc is getting to be a problem you can skip all the side rooms and chests etc and just zoom straight through the levels.
    * If you are strong enough to confidently do the B routes, those are typically shorter distance-wise than the A routes. Of particular note the Ancient Temple Ruins B route is much faster than A route if you can beat the Medusa easily the first time she appears, and the Old Capital B route is practically just a boss fight, however the Red Dragon is very difficult and particularly chews through AI party members. Castle of the Dead, Ghost Ship, and (arguably) Lost Woods are all shorter B routes but are only worth doing if you are confident versus the boss.
    * When you are in camp try and make progress towards the Gourmand trophy, especially by cooking boss parts that come from earlier levels (like myconid and worm in old capital camp, minotaur in ancient temple camp, etc).
