Your Overall Level is displayed on the main menu of either game in the bottom left corner. Completing challenges in game earns you XP to increase this level. See the Completionist guide for info on all of the challenges.
You will reach level 20 while going for the various challenge achievements. I reached it when I still had 4 challenges left to complete.
