A few pointers I found helpful during this race. I had to perfect it on classic over the course of about 200+ attempts.

First off I did this on Classic, Classic is a HUGE pain in the backside for car handling in general, and Hangar 13 have decided that 20's racers are horribly inaccurate in corners and have terrible brakes. Whilst the latter was true for some racers during the 20's, cars where actually quite reliable in handling, so not particularly accurate in practice. Although, it'd make less of a challenge.

    1) Use corners (particularly the chicane and the last corner) to over take.
You can over take in any corner but after the first lap, these two are the best places to overtake cars.

    2) Learn where cars crash, storywise.
What I mean by this is that at certain points, cars will always crash. On the first lap, you lose two. Litchenburg is your doing and the second crashes at the fourth corner.
Lap 2 and depending where you are, it'l either be 1st place that crashes at the chicane or fourth.
1st if you're running in second (which ideally you want to be at this point in the race) or third/fourth if outside the podium places.
Ocassionally the race leader may also crash at the last corner if you're still running second on the final lap.

    3) Turn down controller sensitivity.
I was running at the natural sensitivity for most of my attmepts. I took it down to 3.9 and won on the first try. If you're struggling, try this, it does seem to boost handling of the car, as long as you've learnt the track by this point, you should be fine.

    4) Don't get in a wheel to wheel fight.
If a driver tries to knock you off the racingline. Let him through, you can easily take him at the next corner 8 times out of 10. This avoids the annoying little man from spinning you out.

    5) Use your speed limiter for certain corners.
This may not work for everyone, I used my speed limiter and brakes leading up to corner one and the corner before the chicane, tunning in to it and then turning it off. If you use this technique, remember not to be on full throtle when you turn it back on, otherwise you'll spin out.

    6) Use ram to speed up in the straights.
cn_X in normal gameplay allows you to ram vehilces.
In this context it gives you a speed boost. Spam cn_X down the home straight for an speed boost over your enemies. DO NOT turn during this section if you use this technique though as you'll hit a wall and lose 4 or 5 places.

    7) Learn the exit of the final corner and where the AI droves down the straight.
It's important to hit the final corners exit perfectly on the final lap, not doing so will cost you the win. Also, driving on the line most drivers use down the home straight will block them off, remember to use cn_X in this segment also.
    Showing only comment.
seany_bikerIm only going through my normal playthrough on PS5 atm and but classic on xSx, this is the one thats gonna cause me to bite my nails off, actually probably be so annoying Ill bite my fingers down to the knuckle.
    Cheers for the guide.
