This needs to be done from Kick Off and not Ultimate Team mode, and then choose House Rules and either "Mystery Ball" or "King of the Hill" match. You can lower the difficulty and half time to make it easier. Alternatively I kept the same difficulty so the match was still entertaining but just picked a worse team for the opposition.
The trophy did not pop for me when I won a "King of the Hill" match, but it did when I won a "Mystery Ball" match and I selected different teams then the default ones.
