Saw a guide that said you'd have to get three heroes apart from your custom hero, but I had gotten it with the two heroes in the tutorial area alone. Apparently since a more recent(?) patch it got changed that your custom hero is also counted as part of the "3 heroes" in this trophy. So getting the initial 2 heroes is enough (at least in the Japanese version) and this will now be the first trophy you'll likely get.
