This trophy is obtained in the "Events" area of the "My Team" tab. You will then go to the "Community Events" section, where, hopefully you come across a Group B 4WD Rally - Daily Event. You will need to own the Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2 and you will need an online connection and be connected to the RaceNet servers as well.
If a Group B 4WD Rally is not available, the events are rotated daily at 10:00 UTC, so check back the next morning for a new batch of them, and/or your results of your current attempts.
There are two types of events that you will come across: "Daily Event" and "Delta Daily". To be in the top tier of a Daily Event you will need to be in the top 10%. So if 2000 players race on the day, you will need to be in the top 200 by the end of it. The Delta Daily is much, much easier, where you only have to be in the top 50% of the leaderboard, instead of the top 10%. Also the time you need to beat, is the time you race against.
**Aero7V7 has confirmed that the "Special Events" category also qualifies for the trophy, where you might have an additional opportunity to get this***
This trophy is skill based, but with a couple tricks, you can tilt it in your favour.
#1) Upgrade your car. - Go into the Career Rally and enter it with the Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2. Doesn't matter about winning, it's just about the km's you will drive. The more you drive, the more engine research you will obtain. (To fully max out the engine it is approximately 5 events - it randomizes the events and the stages within, so there is no definitive amount of stages/events to accomplish.) You only need to have the second upgrade if you are really good, but the more you have the better. Once the research is done, go to the Garage section of the My Team Tab, select the Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2 with X. Hit R1 to tab over to the "Engine" section and purchase the maximum upgrade you have unlocked. They get a little pricey when you get to the last couple, but you will cut down anywhere between 15 to 30 seconds in your time, so it's well worth the price.
#2) Find the right tuning setup for your driving style. - Everyone drives slightly different, and whether or not you are rocking a steering wheel, or just the DS4, changes the way you play.
Credit goes to pol.hope for this setup which will be used as the starting point. (Mainly because it's a really solid setup, and I tweaked very little)
Alignment- leave default
Brakes
Braking Force -3012.00 N-m (lower by one notch to the left if too sensitive for you)
Brake bias- 50%
Differential
Front Lsd driving lock- 36%
Front lsd braking lock-20%
Front lsd preload- 0.00N-m
Centre viscous diff - 16kgf-m/100rpm. (Move the slider to the right if you find the car too loose on rotation)
Centre torque bias- 55%
Rear lsd driving lock- 50%
Rear lsd braking lock - 45%
Rear lsd preload - 0.00 N-m
Gearing
Gears 1-4 all default
5th gear- 1.024
Final drive - 0.207 (140mph+ for fast stages, lower as required)
Damping - leave default
Springs
Front ride height-8mm
Front spring rate- 84.27 N/mm
Front anti roll bar- 15.00 N/mm
Rear ride height- 10.00 mm
Rear spring rate- 71.6 N/mm
Rear anti roll bar- 13.50 N/mm
Now you may find you want to change how it drives into corners, or how it handles on straightaways. So play with these settings a bit and find what suits you best. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of time for tweaking while you are researching upgrades for your car.
#3) Practice the rally course that is in the daily event, before you do it! - This is the absolute most important tip I will give here and I have not seen this tip anywhere else. You can actually see all of the rally courses that are in the daily events. Go to
https://dirtrally2.com/community-events ... from there you can see the type of Daily Events that are happening, along with the specific rally courses, the amount of racers that day, and you can do easy math to figure out what time you need to beat, to be in the top tier. So make a custom event on the specific rally course, and practice, practice, practice!
#4) Soft Tyres and no spares. - Why? Because you only need the tyres for one event, so they might as well have the most grip you can get. Why no spares, well because of two reasons. One, it makes you lighter, braking is more efficient, handling is better, and that 20kg makes a difference. Two, because if you blow a tire, it's a wipe. The chances of you actually getting top tier is bare minimum, if not impossible, at that point, so don't bother having a spare.
#5) Caution over aggression. - I say this coming from experience. This trophy took me two attempts to obtain. During the first attempt, I had practiced the event, I knew the time I needed, and I was in the final section of the course. At that moment, I was about 5 seconds faster than my best run during the practice. However, instead of playing some corners a bit safer, I rushed and clipped the edge of the road, which hurled my car and busted my front tyre. So unfortunately I didn't make my time. Learn from that mistake and if you have the time where things are looking good, play a little bit more cautiously, and pay attention to your co-driver's directions. Plain and simple, a clean run is always faster than a reckless run.
This trophy will just require a little dedication to some, so if you are still feeling a little uneasy after all of these tips, just keep practicing, because the more you drive the better you will be.
Best of luck!
