I would thoroughly suggest waiting until you've got the permanent Superflame before you attempt this, as it completely trivialises an otherwise maddening trophy.
For the uninitiated Gulp has been made far harder in this release than in the original. His charge and slam attack borderline homes in on you as he leaps toward you (it was a simple body slam on the spot in the original). He also fires his cannons near constantly which actively track your movements and fire where you're running (he barely fired his cannons at all in the original release and when he did they were incredibly slow and easy to dodge). The camera problems in this release come to a head in this fight as you both scramble to get away from the body slam and wrangle the camera while doing so, as well as constantly pan up to get a good view of the cannon's trajectory.
Even if you can fairly consistently dodge his attacks it takes only two mistakes for the fodder to start spawning and for Gulp to start healing, and at that point you might as well end the attempt then and there. The painfully slow egg drops in this version also ensure that you will be dodging for what seems like an eternity while waiting for them to drop, and the bombs and barrels are pressure sensitive unlike the original, meaning it is very easy to whiff an attack if you're not careful.
The fight isn't too bad if you're just playing casually and regaining health when needed but it is beyond frustrating if you're going for this trophy without the permanent Superflame.
