This is one of a series of collect-a-thon trophies that may take you the majority of the game to finish outside of the story. Though you don't need all of them to complete the game, the final collect-a-thon trophy tied to this requires all 2,000 Precursor Orbs to be collected.

I pointed out all orb values up to the end of the Blue Sage's domain (Mountain Pass and the boss fight there) because some orbs might be hard or require you to go out of your way. The earliest you could get this one be during the Blue Sage's domain at least, it just matters on which areas you complete and in which order.
