How to unlock the SURVIVORS trophy

To unlock the "SURVIVORS" trophy in Detroit: Become Human, you must make sure that all principal characters make it to the end of the game. This is not just the three playable characters: On my first run through I did not unlock this trophy because characters directly tied to either Kara, Connor or Markus were killed before the end of the game. So make sure the following characters make it as well as the protagonists: Hank, Alice, Luther, North, Josh, Simon.

Here are some characters that can definitely die without repercussion, as the trophy still unlocked for me:

Below are some examples of where the protagonists' allies can get killed and some advice on how to avoid that, but there are hundreds of possibilities in this game. I will update with the ones that I find on repeated playthroughs.

As a general rule in a potentially lethal incident, avoid conflict and always choose to protect your allies however you can, in most cases you will only have to perform some QTEs anyway. The game leaves you with more ways out than you might think. Generally you should keep your allies loyal and friendly to avoid conflicts as well, and get the public on the side of the androids through peaceful non-violent protest. In other words, you should go for this trophy on your "Good ending" run; trophies that require violence or Connor's various deaths should be held back for a mop-up playthrough.

    Markus' allies:

MuljoSince Connor can "come back" does it still count if he dies early on? Or can he never be killed?

    kintarisHi Muljo,

It certainly doesn't matter if you get him killed early on (I got this trophy on a save where I killed him in the very first chapter), however I can't guarantee just yet whether there are any end-game states where he is permanently dead. It seems very unlikely as I've tried very hard to permanently kill him in various ways to test this trophy laugh

As a caveat to that, though, Connor's repeated death makes it much harder to be friends with Hank, much harder for Connor to become deviant and therefore much harder for Connor to both keep Hank alive and help Markus' cause (which can in turn keep both Markus' allies and Alice's family alive). So really you should try and keep him healthy where possible.

    mistwhisper117Can Kara shoot Todd?

kintarisYes. She did on my original play through when I first got this trophy, it was just marginally faster to go out of the window when I tested it again.

The only characters that need to survive are the main three and those who have a direct relationship with the main characters (i.e. people who appear under the chapter title when you go to the flowchart). Todd is not one of those, and shooting him doesn't endanger you later on.

GLL_XCSPOILERS- IMPORTANT- Please add this to the guide, Connor can stay on the side of cyber life right up until the end of the game as long as Markus shoots him at Jericho (QTE Success) and then you need to fail the QTE (QTE Fail by choice) in the sniper section Chapter 31 “night of soul” and let Hank throw Connor off the roof (not the other way round), Connor will then be in the crowd of androids as Markus gives his speech, you then simply choose don't shoot and find the computer console in his mind (to the right of the bridge) Connor now does not kill Markus and Hank is still alive Even though Connor did not help the androids until the last choice. This is how I unlocked this without going back and changing anything before chapter 29 “Last chance Connor” before chapter 30 “crossroads” (Jericho). If you start in the police station and review the evidence to find Jericho this will make sure that it saves all the chapters after as there have been reported glitches if you don’t play one chapter before the one you want to change the game does not change events correctly.

MPWheelyAppreciate I'm pretty late to this but does this require a brand new play through or can I start at the tower chapter and continue from there?

Jet-KlaatuYou don't need to spare the two female androids from the club. You need to make that clear please. It may help but not dependent on the trophy.

ShoniaoftheDeadDuring my first run, I lost Simon and didn't get this trophy in the end. So confirmed that at the very least Simon needs to live to get this trophy.
Also, your guides on here are great. Very thorough and well thought out! Bravo!
