You will need the following: Ice Hat, Hookshot Badge.
Ice Hat can be acquired as early as Chapter 2, while the Hookshot Badge is found in Chapter Three, Act Two: Subcon Well. The hat requires 8 yarn to knit. The special ability of this turns Hat Kid into an ice statue, activating the snowflake platforms throughout the planet. The Hookshot Badge, found in the well, is actually required to complete that Act and some others as it allows you to grapple onto lanterns or rings found hanging around Subcon and other chapters for quick maneuverability.
With these two items, return to the spaceship and look towards the door leading to Chapter Two (Dead Bird Studios). To the right of the door is a yellow slide with a snowflake platform at the bottom. Use the Ice Hat to fly through the slide and up into the mailroom, where a Time Rift can be found and a crazy ceiling fan. Have the Hookshot Badge equipped, jump up, and use Square to hook onto the fan and get the trophy.
