The animals you need to ride:
- donkey - story related, you have to ride the animal to progress as soon as 1-1
- horse - story related, you have to ride the animal to progress in 1-2 (Tortuga)
- pig - same area as the horse (1-2, Tortuga)
- crab - encountered at various places - at the bottom of the sea in 1-1
- sea turtle - in 1-4 (Smuggler's Den), you need explosives and a singing character
- snail - in 2-3 (Dutchman's Secret), you need a strong character and a member of the Dutchman's crew
- goat - story related, you have to ride the animal to progress in 3-2 (Davy Jones' Locker)
- spider - in 4-5 (Fountain of Youth), you need a woman and a blacksmith
