How to unlock the Hunter Extraordinaire trophy

Just my two cents on this.

Yiazmat is a massive anti-climax in terms of difficulty. It's not hard, it's just a long slogging match. I beat him at level 71 with a Dragon Whisker, Masamune, and an off the shelf ninja sword.
All you need to do is Wither / Expose the beast for the first few minutes to the point where his hits do no more than 100 damage, then it's simple going. No reverse, no decoy, just let your team chip away at his HP gradually. I spent about 90 minutes cooking dinner and playing with my daughter - occasionally touching the controls to stop the PS going to sleep.

When he gets to about 10% remaining energy I turned off Protectga, Bubble, Bravery and Curaja gambits. Yep, I turned off cure. He has this uncanny ability to one hit kill you which comes way more frequently than any need to heal. By turning off these Gambits I was able to get a few more hits in before that random kill came in.

Seriously, those bumholes in Zertinan Caverns are way more frustrating than Yiazmat. I didn't have to screen out for health once.

Here is a video of the first 43 minutes of what you should do:

What I didn't do here and ended up coming back and doing was Addle, Wither him down while the tank continued to attack him. For some reason my ps4 stopped capturing.

If you can dispel his regen, you can leave and level up other characters, save, rebuy mats if needed. I ended up doing that twice. Once because I needed to lvl Fran for Wither and Addle and the other because I was really tired the next night playing.

For reference you can see the last 90 seconds of the fight, he doesn't hurt as much since he's been withered down a lot:

Here is the ending cutscene when you go to turn in the completed Hunt (spoilers):
