Quad Pro Quo is this games minigame involving cards, (Kinda like Gwent, if you've played Witcher) and is mostly optional.

The first game of Quad Pro Quo that you can play is quite near to the beginning. After the initial tutorials, you'll be tasked with going to Shivbury. Once you arrive and can roam on your own without your party, there'll be a brown beastman infront of you. You have the ability to talk with X, or card battle with Square. This is a tutorial to the game in a sense, no gold is spent on betting and you lose nothing if you don't succeed.

There's a Tutorial that explains the basics, but I'll run over them again if you've forgotten, or skipped through it.

How to Play: It's a tile based game. Each card has 4 numbers, in each of the four corners. Let's say for example, your enemy puts down a card with 4 on the top left, and 5 on the bottom left. You should put a card on the left of this card, so that your numbers on the right combat his left. Yours need to both be higher, otherwise it's a stalemate. If you win with the numbers, their card becomes yours. They can then take your card, or theirs back with another one, using higher numbers for any of the sides. So on so forth, back and forth claiming cards. Other things will come into play later, i.e elements and so on.

Here's an example pic below.
