The Seven Swordsmen was the only mission I hadn't gotten the S rank on my first play. The reason behind this was I had chosen the "Hero" path thinking it to be easier, only to realize taking on all of the swordsman at once was actually the better option. If you do take on all of them at the same time, you'll need near perfect health for the A rank. Anything less than an A will cause you to only have an A rank even with an S on the next portion.

Legend
When the battle first starts, use your supports as you would. They help and when you have the support meter built up you get a free strike in every time you use "Dynamic Entry" (Triangle-Circle). This jutsu pierces through each of the swordsman and can hit multiple targets. Because of this, you can deal good damage to all of them at the same time. If you simply evade their pursuit and spam these jutsu and then recharge your chakra as you use the supports to cover you the battle is actually fairly easy. You can't do this on the heroic path because the 3 characters split, meaning no supports and only having Dynamic Entry for 1 of 3 fights. You'll need to heal up before the end to perfect health, otherwise you'll get a B rank since you didn't defeat many zetsu. This is a flaw with the game, considering you can't really defeat more Zetsu in this scenario. It's because of this, the Hero route is often preferred.

Hero
When taking the heroic path, it's 3 fights instead of 1 when dealing with the 6 Swordsman. The swordsman are all accompanied by zetsu that you can defeat to help bolster your ranking. This is actually fairly annoying, simply because if you try to take on the zetsu the swordsman tend to interrupt. If you focus on the swordsman, you can beat them to an inch of their lives and they'll kneel. This is your chance to start defeating the nameless enemies. I'd suggest defeating at least 50 for each scenario, just to be safe. Dynamic Entry Spam works for the final group and the other jutsu are fairly efficient as well. The swordsman aren't bad when you're just trying to take them out. It's racking up K.O's that is the real pain for the hero route.

After this battle, you'll be facing Zabuza yet again. This fight is actually surprisingly easy. Zabuza will pretty much allow you to hit him with any jutsu you want. He's one of the few bosses you could possibly perfect if you cared enough. There isn't much of a challenge up until he awakens, even then you can spam your jutsu repeatedly. Unlike in normal play you can hit him with ultimates when he's awakened, it makes no difference. When the flashback portions occur (the screen has a black and white look to it almost) you'll want to use your jutsu (It will be the water dragon jutsu in the flashback bits) from a distance. Zabuza usually does the same, giving you one of the secret actions. After, allow Zabuza to do his move where he disappears in the mist and appears behind you. Substitute successfully and you'll have the other secret action.

Generic tips for S ranks...
Health is a big part of the ranking system. It's pretty much the key statistic.

In stages with mob battles, you'll want to defeat a few extra enemies that you wouldn't normally have to. There is a ranking part for this, it's part of the reason why you can't simply defeat each of the swordsmen in the begining

Stars Collected in the quick time events are also a big part of it. You'll want to do your best to get as many as you can. They also help restore your health, making the S ranks easier.

NOTE: This method can also be used to earn an S Rank for a 2-for-1 deal.

For this trophy you'll have to earned an A Rank for Threat of the Seven Swordsmen battle, which is in conjunction with a decision for 1 or 3 Mob battle, and Boss Battle. These battles all have seperate Ranks, which give you an overall Rank, which needs to be an A for this trophy.

For FACTORS on reaching high Rank for Boss/Pseudo battles please consult with this trophy solution:

This battle is EXTREMELY hard to do with all 6 at once, due to no Zetus' for bonus requirement of not being able to use behind attacks and high combo hits. So the better choice for this achievement would be to split them up. The first part will be a Mob Battle against 6 of the 7 Swordsmen minus Zabuza). Depending on the Ultimate Decision, you'll be able to battle all 6 at once or split them up into 3 battles.

You'll be starting off with Sakura against a group of Zetsu and the explosive Swordsman, Jinpachi Munashi. Be wary of his slow, yet powerful explosive sword attacks. You'll want to rack up combo hit and use Ninjutsu, also using the behind attack feature for bonus points later on. For best results be sure to defeat at least 30 Zetsu, do at least 10 behind attack features, and initiate 2 Burst Triggers before finishing off the Swordsman. And that goes for all 3 sections.

The second section of the battle will be Lee, with Sakura as a support, against The Lightning blade wielder, Ameyuri Ringo, and the Sewing Needle wielder, Kushimaru Kuri'arare. With these 2 Swordsman you'll have to be wary of their lightning fast attacks. Just take the same actions, using your supports as well, and precautions as the previous battle and you should be fine.

The final part of the Mob battle will be Guy, with Sakura and Lee as supports, against the Swordless Shark Skin wielder, Fuguki Suikazan, Jinin Akebino, with a sword that can smash defenses, and the most dangerous of them all, Mangetsu Hozuki. For this you'll want to take out Fugaki as soon as you can, just because his needle hair ability can screw your combos up and leave you vulnerable to attacks. Mangetsu can use projectile water jutsu so be aware of that, and Jinin will guard break you if you let him. But just follow the previously described actions and precautions and you should win with a good rank.

The actual Boss Battle will be Kakashi vs Zabuza and Haku. After which Haku will be disposed of, with just you an Awakened Zabuza.

If you've managed to earn each Secret Factor up until this battle you'll earn this trophy:
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 (PS3)Collected MemoriesThe Collected Memories trophy in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 (PS3) worth 34 pointsUnlocked four Secret Factors.

If, for any reason, you aren't able to earn an A Rank no worry. You can retry ANY battles post-story in the Ninja World timeline for another try.
