See my "1hr Speedster" trophy guide for key points to level up in the game and how far. As long as you follow that, you should be fine. The only exceptions are:

1. Is when going into the hole that opens up after placing the wind stone (last stone to obtain in the game) outside of the huge building where you placed the other 2 stones in the game ; if following my 1 hour speed run guide - you will be under leveled and will not be able to defeat the enemies in this area. In order to steer pass them and the enemies on the next screen to the right behind the hidden wall, you must go on and off screen for them to spawn in a way where they can be avoided and are not blocking your progress. I recommend saving right before entering the hole just in case you are doing the 1 hour speed run and the respawning method takes a really long time for you.

2. There is one are in the last dungeon where the same issue as #1 is present. You must go west (left) of the first room you're in when first entering the dungeon - the next screen and the other one directly below it will have powerful enemies that require a level of 24 to defeat and will commonly block your progress. Same as before, go off and on screen until they all spawn in a way where they can be avoided.

3. Again in the final dungeon but this time in the eastern region. Once you go all the way east (right) of the first room you're in when first entering the dungeon - the screen directly below it and one screen left of that one will have blue pixelated enemies that will "one-hit" kill you if you are not AT level 25 (Fairune's level cap). Unlike the previous mentioned sections, these are relatively easy to maneuver around without having to go off screen but the first of these rooms this particular enemy is in is very dark and you will have to navigate your way through will avoiding them. It is still relatively easy in comparison to the sections mentioned in #1 and #2.

4. Also the "Space Invader" enemies encountered when finding the secret item rooms will "one hit" kill you without the "Bit Killer" secret item. Since I do not recommend attempting to get Bit Killer or the Rare Boost secret items during the speed run, just avoid these enemies when encountered (no going on and off screen necessary).

If at any point the unfortunate unforeseen circumstance of your death actually happens, QUICKLY mash the Vita home button as soon as you see the tombstone appear and restart the game. If this is not done fast enough, the game auto-saves and restarts you at a gravesite near the very beginning of the game...no matter where you perished within the game. Needless to say that this can be a bit detrimental to a speed run playthrough.
