("72hr Bossfight" in 40 or so minutes)

Note: There is a much faster way of doing this, in "post-post" game. When you've acquired the Zwill Crossblades, Dark Matter Rings for each party member, and enough AP to Max out the Magic tree. This method is quite fast but it requires a ton more grinding and alot of gil to achieve.

    Boss Fight Tips:
    - Bring lots of Health Potions. Also bring the consumables muscle stimulant (extra damage) and magitek booster (negates MP cost).
    - You should be at least level 40. The higher your level the quicker this will go. But your level doesn't matter so much, the boss has very easy attack patterns. I was level 69.
    - Buy Ascensions "Warp Factor I" & "Warp Factor II" for more warp-strike damage. You'll be using this technique non-stop in this fight.
    - Equip the strongest greatsword you can find. But don't use the Dominator cause the Adamantoise is immune to holy light.
    - Cook the meal "Golden Tail Soup" at a campfire and eat it just before heading to the boss. The recipe unlocks when reaching Cooking Level 10. It guarantees critical hits and greatly increases health recovery. This way you won't even have to touch your health potions and deal super massive damage.
    - All you gotta do in the fight is keep attacking the Adamantoise's right paw with warp-strike. Use Warp suspension to refill your MP immediately. When the Adamantoise gets knocked out consume the Magitek Booster and Muscle Stimulant and keep attacking the eye (should do 9999 damage with each hit). Just repeat these tactics until it's dead. The adamantoise has 5 million HP.
    - When you die you have to start from scratch (even on easy mode! You don't get autorevived on easy during this fight).

*To add on to his description, Warp Strike through the Adamantoise. Don't keep warp striking into the same area you're aiming at but get stuck on one side of tortoise trying to warp strike to the other, this fools the game into thinking you keep doing your first Warp Strike. This keeps the damage multiplier up and your damage around 9999 per hit without attacking the eye.

Funeral-WindLevel 40 seems a bit low. Id not even recommend Ifrit at 40 and this boss is 10 times as dangerous. I'm level 52 and still having a tough time.

dontVanekMaybe I did this on my X1 at level 35 with this method, it's pretty simple with this. To each their own

Through trial and error I found that the Ring of the Luci has a chance of killing the Adamantoise. In all honesty I did not have to spend even one gil aside from getting a few health items most of which I barely used and was around 68(although I doubt you would even need to be that level but it helps). I don't know if you have to damage it a certain amount or anything but I had it down to half health and decided to try using the rings super attack Alterna (the one that drains all of Noctis' mp in one go) and it ended up killing the Adamantoise. Certainly saved some time. I am sure it was just pure luck on my part that it worked but it's a thought to keep in mind when you decide to fight against it.

ShinKotakeWhile this might be a possible strategy, if you are going to reference the top solution, it might have been more polite to add this as a comment rather than make an entire new solution for it.

benh57This is by far the easiest solution. Since it's totally different than the other one, i think it merits a separate solution.

It took me literally one minute to kill the boss using R1+ Triangle and warping to the warp points a few times to regen Mana.
