I found the easiest way to acquire this trophy is to enter Survivor Mode in New Game Plus. I played the game on normal first, and then entered Survivor Mode after. By the time you get to Medical Pavilion in NG+, you're given all of your weapons from your previous game. So you're basically loaded. After that, once you get to Neptune's Bounty, visit the first Gene Bank and you'll be able to equip any tonics/plasmids you've attained; again, from your previous game.

You should turn off Vita-Chambers, instead of half-arsing around and trying to avoid them. Go to Options>Gameplay Options>Disable Vitachambers. Keep in mind that because Jack won't be resurrected, if you die you'll have to load you're previous save. So save often, whenever you see fit.

The beauty with this trophy is that it stacks. You're able to pick up Brass Balls, A Man Chooses, and Seriously Good at This within the same run. Also, because all of your information from your previous game carries over. Trophies such as Avid Inventor, Maxed All Tracks and any photography based achievement doesn't need to be started from scratch.

Resources are way more hard to come by, and enemies deal a hell of a lot more damage. Although, if you're in NG+, this shouldn't be too much of an issue, at least in the beginning; because your health/eve upgrades carry over too.

I found later in the game, particularly in Prometheus Point, i had trouble with my Eve Hypo/First Aid Kit supply. This just may be me however, if you ration your resources you should be fine.

If you play your cards right, it is entirely possible to platinum the game in two runs. One on Normal or Easy; in which you get any plot based Trophies, Historian, Weapon Upgrades, Photography, hacking, and ones like Irony; and one on Survivor, in which you can finish up on crafting, and other trophies you've missed.
