For this trophy you will absolutely have to complete the Gladiator ring once you are in the same area as it due to the game not allowing you to revisit previous areas. This is found fairly late in the game. You will first find out about it once you and your "sister" are about to spend the night at an inn. The gladiator ring is directly left of the inn, where a random person is standing alone...speak to them to get things started.

You will have to complete 41 fights in order to get the trophy to pop. Everything starts off pretty easy and straight forward until you hit round 20 or so. The best advice that I can give when things start getting hairy:

1. Make sure you have lots and lots of potions or other healing items for your party member to use on you and for you to use on yourself!

2. Have high level weapons equipped. I actually managed to get the "Best Sword Ever" trophy from a randomly dropped item during this section of the game...but unfortunately its not that big of a difference maker during the latter rounds.

3. Don't rush in to fight the enemies. The friendly AI of your party member is a bit dull and will do so instead. Run up just close enough to the group of enemies to lure one at a time to follow you to the back are of the arena. Exploit the stupidity of your party member as a decoy while doing a "hit and run strategy" until the enemy is dead. But make sure you do not travel too far up in the opposite direction or else another enemy may follow you back down screen. Rinse and repeat! More than likely your partner will be killed at some point when doing this but their role in all of this isn't critical. Though this will drag things out a bit, it allows you to focus on one overpowered enemy at a time and not have to contend with an entire group of them.

4. ^ When doing #3, save the enemies that use ranged attacks for last! They can be much more difficult to kill and are more difficult to isolate than the melee based enemies.

5. When/if your money for healing items gets low, pray for potions to drop from defeated enemies (the drop rate isn't very consistent). This should revive your fallen teammate as well.

This is a very difficult and cumbersome trophy but it can be achieved with lots of patience, potions, and strategy. God speed!
