Most of the relationship trophies aren't hard to get and should come normally as you're completing scenarios, but as each relationship has different objectives, cutscenes, and timings (of the cutscenes), I thought I'd make solutions that explain them.

General Tips for Top-Row Relationships:
- To deepen relationships for anyone: Use Personnel > Fraternize with the two characters, have them fight together and potentially use Multi-Musou attacks together
- Daimyo-specific ways: Place the other officer as a magistrate and accept their proposals; place the other officer as a strategist and use Seek Advice (delegate may work as well)
- Officer-specific ways: Place them as magistrates in the same room. In this case, fraternize would serve the double-benefit of keeping them in the blue-arrow state in addition to increasing their relationship.
- Some have said that fraternizing doesn't always work, but there definitely seems to be an "active friendship" limit that may actually be what stops friendships from starting. When trying to get a retainer, years of fraternizing didn't help, but I realized she was starting a friendship (blinking portrait on her Friends list). Once I completed that friendship, the daimyo-retainer relationship started. I'll do more testing and tell you for sure.
- Each relationship has a "start" cutscene, battlefield objective, then "complete" cutscene. You get the benefits (and trophy) for reaching the "complete" cutscene.
- Battlefield objectives come up when those characters enter a battle together after getting the "start" cutscene. Multiple objectives can show up, but they'll probably only show up one at a time. So, if you have two or three different relationships ready for objectives you'll have to complete the first one that shows up, then wait a little bit to get the next one.

For Friends (specifically):
The first cutscene should come naturally through playing, but, if you want two specific characters to be friends, you should be able to get them easily by using the above tips.
Just to note, though that the Daiymo has retainers instead of friends, so you cannot get this trophy with a daiymo.

The "start" custcene for Friends is called "A Budding Friendship" and is started in Politics mode (one of the possible cutscenes from an exclamation point with a smiley in the corner).
Those two characters will then have blinking portaits on each others' relation lists.
Once that happens, taking those two into a battle together will give you an objective where they each need to defeat one officer. Hitting the Options button will allow you to switch between them. You do not have to be the character for it to count, and only says be sure to watch out for who is killing who.
If that objective is completed, then on the next battle they fight together they will have their "complete" cutscene "Firm Friends" right before the battle starts, and once you finish the battle they will no longer blink on the relations list (as well as become switchable).
