Since hitting stores last November, Need for Speed Payback continues to receive post-launch updates. The March update is coming soon and will include new AllDrive activities, new events and vehicles, and more.

The first big update coming to all players introduces new cars, events, playlists, and performance parts. An additional DLC pack is also incoming, bringing Speedcross to the title.

In Payback, EA opted to remove the standard tuning and parts store and replace it with cards. That card system was accompanied by random loot boxes containing those cards. Now there's been some changes to the game.

EA has dropped a story trailer for Need for Speed Payback. This one looks to contain all the usual fixings: the main characters getting "played," drama, explosions and a hare-brained scheme to steal a supercar.

EA claims that Need for Speed Payback contains the largest open world that the franchise has ever seen. To back up this claim, some information about the world was released along with a few screenshots and a trailer.

EA released a new trailer for Need For Speed Payback. The video features the all new BMW M5 that will be available to drive on NFS Payback prior to the actual February 2018 release.

Not to be outdone by Porsche at E3, BMW revealed the 2018 BMW M5 at Gamescom 2017 alongside in-game footage of the car in Need for Speed Payback.

In Need for Speed Payback, you'll be turning wrecks into personalised supercars. These wrecks, dubbed Derelicts, have upgrade tiers that ultimately end in Super Builds. The new details come along with a customisation trailer.
