Cult of the Lamb vs A Plague Tale Requiem

It's genuinely fun trying to come up with a connection between each of our Game of the Year competitors, and we would have had a good one if a certain game had been called Cult of the Kid. That would have made this a good old Chinese Zodiac throwdown — Goat vs Kid. Alas, we'll have to use our alternative connecting theme: really good PlayStation games just below the AAA financial model. Blame Cult of the Lamb if that doesn't sound nearly as punchy.

Cult of the Lamb won our hearts and souls during the Summer of 2022, reviewing well and briefly getting embroiled within the whole Microsoft-Sony Game Pass debacle that has still to stop hogging headlines. Meanwhile, A Plague Tale Requiem feels like a fitting competitor, similarly boasting good reviews and one million players right out the gate. This one could be a close contest so make sure to have your voice heard!
