Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga vs God of War Ragnarok

Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is a crowd-pleasing all-rounder from earlier in the year and not one to be counted out in this fight. At a point in the year when people were loudly championing the words "Elden Ring", a powerful underground of Star Wars aficionados quietly awarded this refreshing rework of the Lego series 9/10 in a mini-review published on a popular and well-respected trophy-related website.

One of those aficionados would later write a 9/10 God of War Ragnarok review as well, so this might just be the stalemate of the century. Sure, Ragnarok has already claimed the honour of second-best PS5 game in terms of critical response, quickly becoming one of the most popular PlayStation games upon release. Some might argue it's the more worthy competitor here, but this is a popularity contest at the end of the day — who's to say the 57th-best PS5 game doesn't clinch it?
