Rollerdrome vs Cult of the Lamb

It’s a PlayStation Indies face-off this time around! Rollerdrome is the first of two games from Roll7 vying for Game of the Year alongside OlliOlli World (it’s up against Gran Turismo 7 in Round 11) and, for a while, it looked like Rollerdrome might get a PS Plus launch much like Stray. Instead, it came to PS Plus Trials, giving us an exciting first glimpse of how hard those Rollerdrome trophies were going to be — it reviewed pretty well too.

Meanwhile Cult of the Lamb garnered its own cult following this year, amassing rave reviews and legions attempting to unlock those Cult of the Lamb trophies — though for a while to no avail, given a pretty crucial trophy bug at launch. Cult of the Lamb even stirred up a little controversy when a bunch of outlets started reporting the speculation of an unknown Twitter account claiming Sony paid to keep Cult of the Lamb off Game Pass as fact. Sorry, Cult of the Lamb — no game becomes a cult indie darling without first becoming a bit of an iconoclast.
