Poll: Is Embracer the best home for Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, and Legacy of Kain IP?

By Kes Eylers-Stephenson,

Embracer announced that it would be scooping up three studios — Crystal Dynamics, Eidos, and SE Montréal — as well as the Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, and Legacy of Kain IP. We want to know if you think that this is a good home for them!

Two major pieces of news came this week: Square Enix sold its western branch and IP to Embracer for $300 million and it might also be nabbing the Marvel licenses with it.

A Criminal Past Screens

Crystal Dynamics developed the newly rebooted Tomb Raider franchise, so you can go and grab the Tomb Raider trophies, Rise of the Tomb Raider trophies, and the Shadow of the Tomb Raider trophies. However, you can also nab the Marvel's Avengers trophies — which is arguably the game that made Square Enix sell up the team after its critical and commercial 'failure.'

Eidos Montreal is responsible for the all-new Deus Ex games, for which you can grab the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided trophies and the Deus Ex: Human Revolution trophies right now. The Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy trophies are also up for grabs in a game that, again, underperformed, according to Square Enix's lofty standards. SE Montreal has a double act of mobile games ported to PS4. You can go and get the Hitman GO: Definitive Edition Trophies and the Lara Croft GO Trophies right now.

So, we want to know if you think Embracer is the best place for the teams. We are keeping it simple — yes or no. We would love for you to expand your thoughts in the comments. Would the teams and IP have been better with someone else? Were they just fine with Square Enix? Let us know!
