Poll: Which August release are you the most excited for?

It's poll time! This week we are content with keeping it simple. We are asking the question: which August release are you the most excited for? There is plenty to choose from, so let's dive in!

Note that the following is a curated list that misses a few releases. Any extra August games will be included below. Feel free to leave a comment if one of these was your pick!

To kick off this month, we had Hunter’s Arena: Legends (PS4, PS5) included as part of the PlayStation Plus lineup. We have also had the cutesy Orbals (PS4), the very well-received Dodgeball Academia (PS4), and the trippy release of The Falconeer: Warrior Edition (PS4, PS5).

Towards the middle of the month, we are getting some choice picks. On August 12th comes Foreclosed (PS4, PS5), which looks quite weird and is using the PS5's DualSense haptics to the max. Are you ready for the exceptionally good Hades (PS4, PS5) on August 13th? You'll be going to the depths of Tartarus in this new-age classic. Both RiMS Racing and Monster Harvest are coming on August 19th, too.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut (PS4, PS5) hits on August 20th with all of its haptic feedback, extra content, and Japanese lip-syncing. While the upgrade path is confusing, it is a great chance to play for PS5 owners or big fans who want extra content with the Iki Island story expansion. In addition, Madden 22 (PS4, PS5) is out on the same day for all you American football fans. Squashed in on that date is Fracked (PSVR, PS4, PS5), but who knows? Maybe a few of you like the look of the ski-shooter that I wish I had more time to write about.

So, King’s Bounty 2 (PS4), I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar (PSVR, PS4, PS5), Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 (PS5), and Aliens: Fireteam Elite (PS4, PS5) are all slated for release on August 24th. Will you be patiently lining up your target? Or will you be fending off scary aliens? It's a big day for the end of the month, so let us know what you'll be picking! Tim Schafer's Psychonauts 2 (PS4) is coming out on August 25th, so make sure you a mentally prepared for that one. August 27th brings us the Studio Ghibli-looking Baldo: The Guardian Owls (PS4), which resident creature-lover and Senior Staff Writer Heidi will undoubtedly adore. KeyWe (PS4, PS5) also arrives on the last day of the month, on August 31st.
