If you've been keeping an eye on our upcoming PS5 server closures guide, then you'll be aware that there are a bunch of games heading toward our unobtainable PS5 platinum trophies list. There are nine soon-to-be unobtainable platinum trophies due to server closures coming by the end of February 2025.

9 platinum trophies will be discontinued by the end of February 2025

  • The server closures will start on January 16, 2025, and end on February 28, 2025
  • Platinum trophies discontinued include Blue Protocol, Divine Knockout, and Dark Alliance
  • 11 trophy lists in total will be impacted by the upcoming server closures
The first server to close will be on Thursday, January 16, 2025, and impacts EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour. With that said, this title's platinum is already discontinued. So, you don't need to worry about trying to earn this one and can instead put your focus on Blue Protocol, which is the second server to close on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
After that, you have a bit of time to get yourself together as the next batch of server closures won't take place until Monday, February 17, 2025. However, there will be three servers closing on February 17. These include two PS Plus titles with Realm Royale and Divine Knockout, and EA Sports UFC 3. None of these platinums are going to be quick or easy to earn. So, if you want them badly you're going to have to get cracking now.

The day after these closures take place we've got another to contend with. On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, Hood Outlaws and Legends will see its servers terminated as well. Once again, this looks like a pretty tough set of trophies to work through and will require a lot of patience and time to earn.

After that, the next closure takes place on Monday, February 24, 2025, and will impact the Dungeons and Dragons title, Dark Alliance. We wrote an entire piece about this platinum becoming unobtainable, but instead of the whole trophy list being impacted by the server closure, only four trophies are. If you can, I advise that you get those four done and dusted and then you can come back to this one whenever you have the time to spare.
After that, our last set of closures takes place on Friday, February 28, 2025. This time around four games will be impacted by the closures, which is a lot to try and work through. However, two of these trophy lists Disco Dodgeball Remix and KartRider Drift do not feature platinums. If that's a deal breaker for you, then you can safely skip over these titles.

That leaves just The Golf Club and The Golf Club 2 which have a mixture of online and offline trophies. Some of these trophies for online look quite grindy, especially for The Golf Club, so it would be wise to start them as soon as you can. It also seems like you can earn a lot of trophies easily by downloading other players' custom-created maps, a feature you will lose out on after closures take place.
