Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection lands on PS5 on Thursday, March 14, 2024

In honor of Star Wars Battlefront's 20th anniversary, the two classic PS2 games are coming to PS4 and PS5, with a fresh set of retro trophies for fans to collect. The collection includes all the features of the original games, including the beloved single-player campaigns, robust multiplayer offerings, featuring up to 64-player battles, and trophies!
Battlefront Classic features 17 maps, while Battlefront II features 22 ground maps, 6 space maps, and 9 space maps exclusive to the single-player campaign and galactic conquest. You can get your combat fix in modes such as Conquest, CTF, Hunt, Assault, and Hero Assault.

Hardcore fans will be delighted to know that all of the original games' bonus content will also be included for the first time on PlayStation. This includes the Jabba's Palace map for Battlefront Classic and Bespin: Cloud City, Rhen Var: Harbor, Rhen Var: Citadel, and Yavin 4: Arena for Battlefront II. Bonus heroes Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto will also be playable in Battlefront II.
If that wasn't enough, you can also team up like Han Solo and Chewbacca in split-screen co-op. As a huge fan of couch co-op, this excites me greatly, even though I never experienced these PS2 classics the first time around. To see them in full HD, with the added bonus of two platinum trophies is enough to entice me to relive this moment in gaming history. If you're on a retro gaming hype, then check out our list of classic PS1 trophies available on PS5.
