My only criticism of Raji on PS4 is that those Raji An Ancient Epic trophies did not come with a platinum trophy. Well, it seems in an effort to silence any possible criticism of their game, developer Nodding Heads Games has not only announced that Raji's PS5 upgrade will come to PS Plus Extra on day one, but that it'll also come with a platinum trophy to boot. Looks like we've got another entry for our PS Plus easy platinums list!

Raji An Ancient Epic's PS5 upgrade comes day one to PS Plus Extra

We had already learned via the PS Plus Extra and Premium April 2024 announcement that both the original PS4 edition and the yet-unreleased PS5 edition of Raji An Ancient Epic were set to join Sony's subscription scheme this month. However, thanks to an update on the game's official X account, we now know the Raji PS5 upgrade will launch on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 — a day-one release alongside all but one of April's PS Plus Extra games.

What's more, this latest update has confirmed what all players might expect from the enhanced PS5 version of Raji. We now know that Raji An Ancient Epic: Enhanced Edition will launch on PS5 with graphic enhancements, ray tracing, PS5 DualSense functionality, and most importantly of all, a PS5 platinum trophy.

We've yet to confirm what Raji's trophy list will look like on PS5, although we suspect it will resemble the game's trophy list on PS4 with the much-desired addition of a platinum trophy. Personally, I'm hoping that is the case, because as it stands Raji's PS4 trophy list is a fairly breezy and enjoyable one to complete. I'd happily see the whole list through again on PS5 should the reward of a platinum trophy be waiting on the other end this time.
There's some good news for PS4 players too — if you already own a copy of Raji on PS4, you'll be able to claim the PS5 upgrade for free. Unfortunately, this does suggest that there won't be a separate trophy list on PS4 with a platinum trophy to earn. However, if you have already enjoyed the game and would like to take it for a spin on PS5 without having a PS Plus Extra subscription, you can at least do so without paying for the game twice.

Raji is easily one of the best indie games on PS4, so it stands to reason that it might soon be one of the best PS5 indie games when it launches on April 16, 2024. Will you be hunting down that Raji PS5 platinum trophy? Have you played the game on PS4 already? Or will this surprise PS Plus Extra day-one launch be your first time around? Let us know down in the comments below.
