If you haven't had the chance to collect those The Last of Us Part I trophies on PS5, next month might be the perfect time to do so. PS Plus Extra is adding The Last of Us Part I in September 2024, and we're sure it'll find a spot on our best PS Plus games list soon enough.

The Last of Us Part I joins PS Plus this week

Announced at the PlayStation State of Play in September 2024, Sony revealed that The Last of Us Part I will join PS Plus Extra's Game Catalog on Thursday, September 26, 2024. It's a big get for PS Plus Extra, and also a necessary one as we recently lost one of the biggest PlayStation Studios draws after Horizon Forbidden West left the service.
It shows that Sony does still care about bringing its AAA games to the service after launch, although this is the safest possible version of that. After all, The Last of Us Remastered — effectively the same game — is already available on PS Plus Extra.

That said, I happily gave the game a perfect score in my The Last of Us Part I review — it's still a masterpiece, and the PS5 remake just reaffirms that. It just also happens to be a game a lot of people have already played and have no interest in playing again. Are you excited to see TLOU Part I come to PS Plus Extra?
