The PS Plus leaving games for December 2023 have scanned in for the Extra tier and these are some massive games amongst the games leaving PS Plus. Let's hope you aren't knees deep in Yakuza right now!

Yakuza and The Lord of the Rings leave PS Plus Extra in December 2023

While the PS Store takes an age to load what games are actually disappearing from the service, our developers here at TrueTrophies don't rest so easy. They've pulled together the list of 11 games leaving PS Plus Extra on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. If you want any platinum trophies in these games, you'll have to play them before that date because — even if you add them to your catalog — they won't say thereafter. Check out the full list below!
You really will have to start playing Yakuza Like A Dragon, Yakuza 6 The Song of Life, Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor, and Middle Earth Shadow of War right now if you want those platinum trophies. All four are long games and require a fair chunk of time just to finish. They are also the highest quality games on the list, I'd argue, and well worth playing (Shadow of War doesn't quite match its predecessor, though).
Friday the 13th The Game had a really strong following until the game servers were shuttered. It's an asymmetrical survival horror game that came to PS4 in 2017 with developer IllFonic at the helm. However, the already hampered title is being delisted on December 31, 2023, due to licensing issues. If you are playing it through PS Plus and want to keep playing it, you'll need to buy and download a separate copy to keep playing until the end of 2024.

The Escapists 2 has notoriously hard trophies to grab as well, so definitely start that up if you want to actually finish the game in any kind of good time via PS Plus Extra. Foreclosed is a solid little indie to play if you have the time as well, featuring comic book graphics and some good shooting gameplay. Obviously, this month has an absence of PS Plus Premium titles leaving the service.
So, that wraps up the announcement of all the leaving games in December 2023. None of these feature on our best PlayStation plus games list, so check out that 15-game strong list for more stuff to play! With that all said, will you be rushing through any of these before the deadline? Let us know in the comments below and I'll see you guys down there!
