As part of the PS Plus Extra and Premium Days of Play 2024 bonus games, you'll be getting access to the Dredge trophies on PS5 and PS4. With PS Plus Extra's Dredge now available to download, we're giving you a quick rundown of the indie.

Dredge is the first PS Plus Extra bonus game for Day of Play 2024

Dredge is now available as a PS Plus Extra game on PS5 and PS4 as part of the Days of Play event. You can go and download it right now and start enjoying one of the most beloved indie games of last year. Dredge is a single-player fishing and sailing game with Lovecraftian horror elements woven in. While relaxing management sim elements are cozy gaming at its finest, Dredge has a habit of unsettling you!
Amongst the sea of small titles that were released on PS5 and PS4 last year, you may not realize that Dredge has become something of a cult hit. A tidal surge of fans have been loving it since developer Black Salt released it in early 2023 and I can see the appeal big time.

Its casual vibes contrast heavily with the Lovecraftian horror themes, meaning you don't have to spend all your hours with Dredge bricking it. Frankly, I hate having to go to the poop deck regularly while playing a game. Leave me and my weak retention alone!

Wondering about the trophy list, my fine TrueTrophies shipmates? Well, it's nice and easy and will take you around 20 hours of playing. Nothing is missable, though you will have to grind for research, collect all the fish species and aberrations (see: dodgy fish), as well as do a bit of out-of-the-way miscellaneous activity. I don't think it'll annoy any of you guys, just let you explore the game to its fullest!
I don't think there could be a better way to kick off Days of Play than Dredge, to be honest. It's a great addition to the catalog and well worth your time. With its easy platinum, I think it'd make for a great refresher game, too! It's not like anything else I've seen around the PlayStation town, so slap it on between Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Stellar Blade, or something like that, and just enjoy yourself!

I love that kind of game! There's no way I'm not forcing this onto Staff Writer Sean's carefully curated best PlayStation Plus games. Happy with Dredge? Let me know in the comments below, seafarers!
