However, the fun doesn't need to end, as there is some new DLC coming your way very soon. Unfortunately, PS Plus Extra players won't get the Dredge DLC for free and will need to fork out the cash if they want to experience it.PS Plus game Dredge is getting some new DLC called The Iron RigWe are sure it won't be long until Dredge makes a splash on our best PS Plus games list, but until then, let's take a look at the DLC that will land on PS5 and PS4 on Thursday, August 15, 2024.The trailer (embedded above) shows our protagonist, The Fisherman, making his way to The Iron Rig, traversing through stormy weather and rough seas. Upon his arrival at the facility, our fisherman delivers some bizarre-looking fish to a mad scientist whose expressions are certainly sinister. What are you up to, Mr Scientist? If you have played Dredge's main story through to completion, you'll be aware there are a whole lot of Lovecraftian shenanigans unfolding in the waters of Archipelago. So, we can expect our new scientist friend to most likely make matters worse for the residents of this small fishing town by conjuring up some monstrosity from all these odd fish we are delivering.Dredge's blend of chill fishing and horror seems like a fun mixture and I would love to experience it myself. I'm a big horror fan, so that aspect alone has caught my attention. I should have clicked on that the game was something special when the Dredge PS Plus Extra player count went through the roof when it debuted on the service. Clearly, I am missing out on something weird and wonderful here. The DLC trailer combined with Dredge being on PS Plus makes this a guaranteed play for me. I'm sure many of you are in a similar boat, but my gaming of late has been nothing but huge RPGs like Baldur's Gate 3, Dragon's Dogma 2 and Stellar Blade. So, I'm pumped to see that Dredge's platinum is around the 20-hour mark.Dredge's other DLC, The Pale Reach, is also available on PS5 so you'll have plenty to do before you play The Iron Rig — let's see if the end up amongst the very best DLC! Wish me luck on my fishing ventures and let's hope the nasty horrors lurking beneath the water don't pull me under. Have you checked out Dredge on PS Plus?
