PS Plus trophy guide — how easy and how long are the Essential games?

Last month Sony dished out some pretty simple platinum trophies to earn. However, October 2024's batch of PS Plus games looks to be a lot more balanced, and we'll get to dive into all of them when they launch on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

This month, we've got Doki Doki Literature Club Plus providing us with a nice simple platinum to earn, while Dead Space gives us a balanced platinum trophy challenge. Meanwhile, WWE 2K24 is a game that is highly skill dependent. So, depending on how you are with wrestling games, this could be the easiest platinum to earn or the hardest.

Dead Space — trophy tips

Spooky season is almost upon us and Sony decided to give us a whopper to get our scares on with. Dead Space is a wonderful remaster of the original PS3 title and sees you navigating the tight and claustrophobic hallways of a huge deep space mining ship that has gone radio silent.

You'll play as Isaac Clarke, an engineer sent to repair this ship and help out any of the crew that you find. Unfortunately, Isaac is unaware of the horrors that wait for him in the dark.

Dead Space is the perfect game for those wanting a nice balanced trophy hunt. Things aren't simple, but you won't be banging your head against the wall either.

While there are missable and difficulty-related trophies to keep on top of, you shouldn't struggle with them too much if you go in prepared.With that said, I wouldn't recommend doing the Impossible difficulty while only using your Plasma Cutter. So, go for at least two playthroughs and remember to save a lot.

If we take a look at the platinum trophy 'Concordance Officer' we can see that 2.70% of PSN players have managed to snag this one, which isn't too shabby.

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus — trophy tips

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus is a game quite like any you have played before. All we'll say is to expect the unexpected as you navigate this narrative-driven visual novel. You'll meet a cast of vibrant characters, all of which you can try and charm into dating you. So, have fun and don't let your jaw hit the ground too hard.

While there are technically missables to look out for, you can speed through the game in around 20 minutes to get back to any point in the game where you may have missed something, effectively making the missables, not missable. Overall, the game is incredibly simple and requires you to just explore each of the different character routes and see everything that you possibly can.

As it stands, the platinum trophy currently sits with an overall completion rate of 10.20% on PSN, proving how simple it is to nab. So, just sit back and enjoy this wild ride.

WWE 2K24 — trophy tips

Wrestling fans are in for a treat this month as WWE 2K24 joins the service bringing revamped combat, slick graphics, more in-depth game modes, and a few other little surprises. While the series hasn't been seeing the highs it used to, WWE 2K24 is trying its hardest to bring the series back to its peak.

As we stated earlier in the article, depending on if you are a big wrestling fan or not, this trophy list is either going to be the toughest thing you face or potentially the simplest. It really all comes down to how skilled you are. With that all said and done, there are missable trophies to be aware of as well as a bunch of only trophies.

So, with the servers scheduled to close on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, you may want to start with those first, just for peace of mind. Currently, the platinum trophy 'All Trophies Earned' sits with an overall completion rate of 0.10% on PSN. Do you think you can boost this one up?
