Dead Space
Could there be a better game for October than one of the best horror games? Honestly, Dead Space is the golden child of the month thanks to its amazing reworking of the PS3 original. Dripped in a sense of dread and comically good action, I think this may well be one of the games to beat on PS Plus Essential this year!
WWE 2K24
Well, WWE 2K24 is coming to PS Plus Essential and every time we get a new one of these it attracts an incredible amount of players. This year's edition had some revamped combat to give it a more arcadey feel and faster flow. That seems to have done the trick for the wrestling game as it helped bring the series out of a lull.
Other aspects like the roster are somewhat outdated, though mitigated by DLC. With better visuals and a decent MyGM and MyRise mode, though: WWE 2K24 will do the job for wrestling fans. It's almost certainly the best game in the franchise's recent history.
Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!
I don't quite know how to talk about Doki Doki Literature Club Plus for PS Plus without spoiling it, This wonderful narrative-heavy visual novel game isn't quite what it seems. If you just want to sit down and be enthralled by a good story, then look no further because this is quite the get for PS Plus Essential!
