PS Plus Extra and Premium games released on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, with the full lineup announced on PlayStation Blog. Sony's subscription added some big titles this month, none more so than promising day one indie The Plucky Squire.
PS Plus Extra got the recent release Under The Waves, a really strong story game from publishers Quantic Dream. PS Plus Premium gave us PS VR2's Pistol Whip game and some ported PS2 and PSP games like Secret Agent Clank. Remember to play and of the games leaving PS Plus as soon as possible.

PS Plus Extra Highlight —
The Plucky Squire
A lot of the buzz around the game is extremely positive, so this might be another coop from Sony. Having delivered games like Stray, Sea of Stars, and Rogue Legacy 2 so far, The Plucky Squire sure does have a lot to live up to. I'll see you in the pages next week!

Under the Waves
Published by Quantum Dream, the focus is on grief in the North Sea. With good writing and some great environmental design, it's worth checking out. Don't expect the pinnacle of gameplay though, as that is what lets it down — a bit like Quantic Dream's own games! However, I think this is a perfect chance to give Under the Waves a go.
PS Plus Premium Highlight —
Ratchet & Clank ports return

- Platforms: PSP ported to PS5 and PS4
We predicted that PS2's Sly 2 might take this spot, but another iconic PlayStation franchise has taken the spotlight! It's Ratchet & Clank's PSP spin-off Secret Agent Clank taking up the limelight, stealthily. Playing on James Bond, little sidekick Clank's own game was originally released in 2008 but was later ported to PS2 in 2009.
The version we are getting is in the original PSP edition. With Sony's history of supporting its games, Secret Agent Clank is likely to get trophies. That would be incentive enough for most of us, but I think it's a really fun spin-off, too. It got middling reviews at the time, but nostalgia will carry me through!
