Update: New PS5 puzzle platformer Animal Well has arrived as of Tursday, May 9, 2024, for PS Plus Extra subscribers. Animal Well joins 15 other games in the PS Plus Extra and Premium games lineup for April 2024 and is now available for download.
Sony has released the latest PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in April 2024, including 13 PS5 and PS4 additions for the Extra tier and 3 for the Premium tier. We have at least one best PS Plus games contender in beloved 'indie' Dave the Diver, rounding out a particularly strong monthly lineup of games!
PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium games lineup for April 2024

- PS Plus Premium has added PS1 game Medievil for the third time
PS Plus Extra and Premium has a substantial new 16 games for April, PlayStation Blog announced. The games are available on PS5 and PS4 as of Tuesday, April 16, 2024. PS Plus Extra got 13 titles, including three day-one games, and Premium got three fresh PS1 titles.
Extra has some pretty interesting games, including The Crew 2. This racing game is arguably better than its successor (The Crew Motorfest) and has an incredibly loyal following. I also recommend taking a look at Animal Well, the third of the day-one games coming to PS Plus Extra this month (slightly later, on May 9, 2024). Don't let that pixel art put you off, it looks like an odd little indie with plenty of potential.
PS Plus Premium has a triplet of games and we've highlighted MediEvil below. However, Star Wars Rebel Assault 2 and Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare have also joined it. Please note that neither of those two games gets trophies, though. Third-party Classic Catalog games haven't been very supportive of our favorite metagame.

PS Plus Highlight: Dave the Diver

You'll have access to this beloved 'indie' game on day one after Sony announced PS Plus Extra for April 2024 will include Dave the Diver long ago. Originally released in 2023 on PC to much success and plenty of praise, this pixel art genre mash is a really great time full of humor and wit. I highly recommend you all fish out the Dave the Diver trophies now it is hitting PS5 and PS4 as part of the April 2024 lineup.
PS Plus Highlight: Tales of Kenzera Zau

A side-scroller Metroidvania that's an original IP and a day-one PS Plus Extra release for April 2024? Yes, please! If you opt to start collecting the Tales of Kenzera Zau trophies on release day, you can expect a setting dripping with rich African heritage.
If you loved Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown's gameplay and slick inclusion of mythology, get your eyes on this. Also, Abubakar Salim is involved — the actor who played Assassin's Creed Origins' Bayek — and seemed jumping with energy while talking about the game. Check out the trailer above for a glimpse!
PS Plus Highlight: MediEvil (PS1)

Sometimes, we are left baffled by the decision-making at the PS Plus Premium tier. This is one such time, as the MediEvil trophies for the PS1 version of leaked the game early. that means we are getting a third re-release of the PS1 title in the modern PlayStation era with a PS4 remake and the PSP re-release. It's a great little platformer — quirky, inventive, and hard as nails nowadays. However, we suggest that you play the MediEvil remake instead (also available on PS Plus Premium).
With the PS Plus Extra games rolling in strong, it's a shame that the
