Physint has been announced at Sony's State of Play. The game was just announced, and we need you to understand that from now on you'll hear Physint until you get sick. Why? It's Hideo Kojima and PlayStation Studios' new action espionage game and it definitely isn't Metal Gear Solid. Okay? No, don't go and get those Metal Gear Solid V trophies all over again... stop that!

Physint is Hideo Kojima and PlayStation's new action espionage game

I'm about to use my fun writing because there isn't much to tell you. Here is the brass tax, the boring bit, the sensible writing. Hideo Kojima and PlayStation are teaming up for a new action espionage game called Physint. This is a brand-new IP, and PlayStation and Hermen Hulst are working closely with Kojima Productions to make it the most next-generation game you've ever seen.
It's in pre-production until after Death Stranding 2 On the Beach (see the State of Play trailer) releases in 2025 at some point. Kojima specifically says that "this title will be the culmination of all my work" and suggests that it will be a celebration of his 40 years in the industry. Now, does that sound ominous or am I being dramatic?

Importantly, I think, is that Physint is going to be spread across the medium of games, film, and music. The production seems to be partnered with Sony’s Columbia Pictures label because when the camera does a sick pullback from Kojima and the head of PS Studios Hermen Hulst, a drone pulls into a hover above the filming lot. Physint will be using cutting-edge tech and be using film to its advantage. Sony is giving full support.

Wait, I didn't even get to bring out the fun writing! I wanted to wax lyrical about how clean that fist bump was at the end... those knuckles interlocked so well. In any case, Kojima is doing wild stuff and his games appear on nearly every best-of list we have, so just check out the best PS4 games — why not? Comments, I'll see you there, and so on. Apologies for using 'deffo' in the title — I'm not proud.
