Most popular PS5 games — new PS Plus day one title debuts above GT7 Here is the latest PlayStation Chart of the most popular PS5 games. PS Plus' latest day one game is having a drag race with Gran Tuismo 7.Kes Eylers-Stephenson Published 20 Nov 2023 FollowtopicsChartKes Eylers-Stephenson Using our sample of 3.2 million PSN accounts, we've gathered the top 40 most popular PS5 games into a weekly chart for you. These aren't just the best PS5 games, but the ones everyone is booting up including the latest PS Plus November 2023 day one game.PS Plus' latest day one Teardown beats out Gran Turismo 7 on debutWith Teardown on PS Plus available to all PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers right now, it's clear that everyone was willing to jump into the destruction-heavy sandbox-puzzle game and have a blast (literally). It finished in 15th place, finishing just above Grand Turismo 7 by a player count difference of 0.4%. It's slim margins, then. However, the real measure of success will be how Teardown does next week with a full week on the market: will it be a one-and-done for most players, or will they stick to it?Across the rest of the chart, things are a little tamer as the big releases finally begin to slow down. At the top of the chart, it is noticeable that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is slowing down more considerably now — it has put in a truly superheroic performance over the last five weeks, though. Its player count is down around 23% week-on-week which means it has slid to fourth place as EA Sports FC 24 has overtaken it. We're sure it'll stick around until well after Christmas, though.Baldur's Gate 3 is obviously flying high in 13th, but at the bottom of the chart GOTY nominations are making themselves felt. The first is 34th place with Hogwarts Legacy which, along with Starfield, was truly snubbed across every award this year. Players might be putting more time in now as chatter about that snubbery is rife. Then you have Final Fantasy XVI, a game our own Staff Writer Lee Brady feels was left out of The Game Awards 2023 highest honor awards. The JRPG is currently in 38th place as players pick it back up.If you want cutting edge information, check out the PS Plus November 2023 Essential player count deep dive Lee wrote up last week.
